Are you going to… the gym?
A new study published in the International Journal of Clinical and Health Psychology found that doing this particular exercise for less than ten minutes a day can help men last longer in bed, and the results can be seen in just two weeks.
High-intensity interval training (HIIT), an exercise regimen that alternates between short bursts of high-intensity exercise and lower-intensity recovery periods, has many benefits, including improved cardiovascular and metabolic health.
It is now possible to improve men’s sex lives.
Premature ejaculation is a sexual dysfunction that occurs when a man ejaculates before or shortly after penetration, or with only minimal stimulation. Premature ejaculation often leads to frustration and dissatisfaction in sexual relationships, and affects self-esteem and psychological well-being.
Although it is one of the most common sexual dysfunctions in men, its cause remains unknown.
Treatment is usually with behavioral therapy or medication, but these approaches may be ineffective or have adverse side effects.
But according to new research, just seven minutes of high-intensity interval training a day can help after 12 days.
Researchers from East China Normal University recruited 76 men aged between 18 and 34 who had a stable female partner and had sex at least once a week.
The men were divided into three groups – one performed seven minutes of high-intensity interval training (HIIT) every day for two weeks, another performed slow breathing exercises for the same amount of time, and the third performed normal breathing exercises.
Finally, the analysis showed that those who went to the gym and focused on normal breathing exercises experienced a reduction in symptoms of premature ejaculation.
The researchers explain that during high-intensity interval training, people must pay attention to their body’s movements and performance and regulate their breathing.
The study found that “with repeated practice, their ability to regulate attention to sensations inside and outside the body may improve,” which appears to help men control ejaculation.
However, further analysis showed that attention regulation scores improved in all three groups.
So if you want to extend your bedtime, do some intermittent high-intensity interval training, or do some breathing exercises.
