Until you make the unconscious consciousness, it will guide your life, which you call it destiny.
Pause is the abbreviation for hunger, anger/anxiety, loneliness and fatigue. Any of these conditions may make it easier for us to show up than usual. Heck, even “normative”, when their judgments are engulfed by judgments that are hungry, anger/anxiety, loneliness or fatigue, they act in the way they later regret. So what opportunities do we addicts have? The trick is to learn to identify and satisfy these needs when they arise, rather than placing them with various other forms of emotional discomfort that we don’t want to experience (and trying to avoid avoiding them through addiction). When triggered, we have to learn to stop and ask ourselves: When was the last time I ate? Did I have enough sleep last night? Do I need to resolve some conflicts in my life? Will talking to someone who understands me help me feel better?
