If you need an analogy for addiction, imagine life without air. Then imagine something worse.

They are filled with despair and loneliness, and lead to shame, depression, anxiety, and all sorts of negative consequences, just like other forms of addiction. Sex and porn addictions are not about having fun, just like alcohol and drug addictions are not about having fun.
