Kind of retro – I remember the last time I wore this was to a friend’s party in 2018 and I wore it inside out so the laces were in the front. I rediscovered it recently when I was moving house and I wore it to a bar with my wife that night. (Zach Reino would say, “Wine wives, wine lives.”)

Wear this for another dinner with the wife. It wasn’t a very eye-catching outfit, except that 1) she took the photo very nicely, and 2) I was wearing a hat with the Wythe Hotel logo on it, which is a romantic spot for us. This is where we went on our second date and where we first told each other that we loved each other and wanted to officially date. That was in Brooklyn in 2018, and now we live together in Brooklyn. Wow.

This is what I wore to a party my friend threw to celebrate top surgery he was about to have at the time. I love queer people. The party was held in the “red room” of a pub called Singers, so I guess I was inspired to wear red!

It was a cool night—I was invited to attend an erotic writing workshop taught by sci-fi romance legend Cecilia Tan, hosted by the sex toy company Dame, at the romance-focused Brooklyn bookstore The Ripped Bodice. Cecilia and Dame founder Alexandra Fine had a conversation about erotica, sexual arousal, the role of sex toys in the writing process, and more, and then we did some writing exercises together in the little notebooks we were given. (I loved the pens they gave away so much that I ended up buying some myself, haha.) It was really cool to socialize with some other writers, most of whom were female presenters! Thank you ma’am for the invitation.

Kind of a weird night – I had planned to bring my friend Sarah as my +1 to a media event I was invited to, which was the launch of a Halloween themed pop-up bar. We went to a Mexican restaurant for dinner beforehand and while we were eating I received an email telling me that the event had been canceled due to unforeseen circumstances! Sarah and I had just finished our margaritas and called it a day. Oh well, at least we look cute…

Weared this on one of the best first dates of my life so far! You can hear me tell the full story here… Let me just say, it was fitting that I wore red because I was blushing most of the night, so at least my look was cohesive It also turned out to be a well-designed outfit suitable for being fingered in a New York park in the fall.
