When I heard that Womanizer was launching a vibrator, I was intrigued. Womanizer is best known for their suction/pressure wave sex toys, they rarely branch out into different genres. They combine pressure waves with vibration in some products, but I think this is the first time they’ve taken the pressure wave out of the equation and just focused on vibration.

The Womanizer Vibe is what I call a “placement” vibrator. It is designed to wrap around the pubic bone and fit snugly against the clitoris. Aesthetically, this has to be one of the prettiest Leon vibrators I have ever owned.

Womanizer Vibe uses Womanizer’s new “ultrasonic vibration”. Rather than a rattling motor, they say their motor “combines low-frequency rumbling vibrations with 10 powerful harmonic resonances… Featuring a linear motor, it delivers gentle yet intense stimulation to guide you through a song of joy symphony.”

The Womanizer Vibe is designed to incorporate broad and precise stimulation. The head is long and wide with a flat edge for use against the vulva and clitoris. But the designers very cleverly gathered those edges into a scoop, allowing you to focus the vibrations onto a precise point.

Aesthetically, the Womanizer Vibe is clean and crisp. There are no distracting elements; it’s smooth and discreet. It really just has three simple buttons, a two-tone color scheme, and a subtle “W” logo.

My Vibe is sage green and very pretty. It’s a soft, refreshing sage green. Also available in dark pink and dark blue.

How to take advantage of the womanizer vibe

1. Womanizer Vibe has three buttons: (+), (–) and (~)
2. Press and hold the (+) button to open Vibe.
3. Apply it to your body. This is designed specifically for clitoral use; you can use the wider/flat sides for broad stimulation or the pointed tip for precise stimulation.
4. Click the (+) and (–) buttons to cycle through 10 intensities.
5. Click the (~) button to cycle through the modes.
6. Press and hold the (–) button to turn it off.

Package

The Womanizer Vibe is beautifully packaged. The color of the box matches the color of the atmosphere (in my case, sage green). The box has a drawer-like opening that you slide out, and the Vibe is hidden under a sheet of white craft paper.

Materials and care

Womanizer Vibe is made of siliconemaking it safe for the body. Silicone is the best material in sex toys; it’s nonporous (hygienic), nontoxic, and hypoallergenic.

My experience with the womanizer vibe

The main selling point of the Womanizer Vibe is that it’s “the world’s first silent clitoral vibrator.” They call it “noiseless.”

Sex toy companies often say things like “quiet,” but I don’t think I’ve ever seen a company call their vibrator “silent” or “noiseless” before. That’s a pretty bold statement.

Is it really silent?

The Womanizer Vibe has 10 intensity levels.

Levels 1-5: To my surprise, the first 5 levels were literally silent for me. They are so quiet that my ears cannot hear the sound of the motor. This is quite an achievement.

Levels 6-8: These levels are discernible, but only just right. They are quiet, but I can hear them when I’m in the same room as the vibrator.

Level 9-10: Easily heard at maximum intensity if you are in the same room as the ambiance. They were certainly not quiet, but I couldn’t hear them through the closed door.

How does the vibration behave?

Almost all sex toys are subject to this rule: Not all loud vibrators are strong, but all strong vibrators can be loud. Likewise, not all weak vibrators are quiet, but all quiet vibrators may be weak.

The same is true here. Yes, the Womanizer Vibe is pretty quiet. But unfortunately it’s also pretty weak.

The vibrator’s advertising copy states that it can “elevate your orgasmic journey without overstimulation.” I think this is a hint about exercise intensity. I personally couldn’t achieve any orgasms with this toy and my hands were getting annoyed from the vibrations after a few minutes. I personally need medium to strong rumbling vibrations (or very strong buzzing vibrations) to climax, and this is not that vibrator.

So what does this mean for your happiness? This wasn’t an orgasm for me, but if you’re someone with a sensitive clitoris, this might still be an orgasm for you. If you’re at all worried about your roommates hearing sex toys through your bedroom walls, this might be something to consider… It’s not completely noiseless, but it’s probably one of the quieter vibrators I’ve ever owned .

The Womanizer Vibe is a quiet, lying-down vibrator. Initial speeds are noiseless, but top speeds are somewhat audible. Overall, strength is low to medium-low. This makes it perfect for those who want something very discreet and would be fine with a gentler vibrator.
