Review: Synthetic Sensations Vang Knot Dildo

Vang of Synthetic Sensations has redesigned the classic canine-inspired knot dildo with the knot stuck inside the sheath. With its tapered tip and extremely thick knot, the Vang highlights features that many people love while standing out as a unique design.

Design and specifications

Synthetic Sensations is a UK-based brand with a small but creative range of models, including the Ryvian, a osmotic model with a removable internal tap (a concept I really like), and the Alyx, a grinder or Open penetration products.

I’ve said before that I’m a werewolf fan, and Vang easily fulfills my furry fantasies. I really like the idea of ​​a partner being so turned on that their knot can’t even come out of its sheath.

In the medium size, the shaft above the Vang knot reaches 1.9 inches in diameter/6 inches in circumference, while the knot itself measures 2.6 inches in diameter/8.2 inches in circumference. Its usable length is 7.1 inches. The dimensions are similar to the TTC Dante and I also like the knot.

My Vang is wearing a limited edition Jorkobs colorway from Synthetic Sensations, one of their Borderlands inspired “Pandonga” colorways. It is white and black marble split vertically with beautiful shimmering gold in the middle and rusty red flecks on the balls.

The splash is done in a very unique way. I suspect it was actually splattered into the mold before pouring the other colors. I rubbed and picked at the red part to check its durability and it didn’t peel at all, so whatever method was used to achieve the effect, it was well done.

I requested a medium Vang with a medium hardness of 00-50, but received one with a very soft hardness of 00-30. While I enjoyed the dildo in some ways, in other ways it was too soft for me. See the “In Use” section below for more information. (This dildo was sent to me for review and was not custom made, so I don’t think this confusion would have occurred with a standard order; I believe the 00-30 was intentionally chosen for me to review.)

It feels softer in the hand than the 00-30 I’m used to. I would describe it as almost marshmallow-like, closer to 00-25, but without the viscosity of the soft hardness (many stores call it super soft) of 00-20. The exact hardness of silicone will vary depending on a variety of conditions, including pigments and environmental conditions. My toy felt firmer than expected, so this isn’t my first toy with varying firmness, although it’s a bit beyond the standard level of variation I’m used to.

I received Vang and a Little Carmine in exchange for a review. I also received two solid black cotton drawstring bags. The standard size bag is 11.5 inches long (including drawstring seam) and 10 inches wide, and can accommodate toys up to 10 inches in length. Both dildos fit easily into a bag. These bags don’t shed a lot of lint, but as with most cotton bags, I recommend washing them before putting toys in them.

The stock list for my Vang was £75 (reduced to £70 on sale). At the time of writing, £75 is about $98. The mid-size Vang is priced from £55 to £80 from stock, with customs starting at £65.

In use (vagina)

The fur texture is very strong. As a high frequency texture (lots of small details) it is constant and almost like noise rather than well defined. The firmness was much stronger than I expected and I’m very happy with it.

The texture is great when moving the dildo in and out, but the shaft above the knot mostly feels like a squishy, ​​textured top due to the very soft hardness. Once past the entrance, I don’t feel much pressure at all and it almost feels like the top doesn’t really exist if I don’t move, especially the tip. That feeling of fulfillment I loved was gone. However, this is normal for me; sometimes I don’t feel the pressure from dildos that are softer than the A00/00-40 unless they are very large or I am using them anally.

The knot itself, on the other hand, is very manageable at this very soft hardness. I just need a lot of lube and push it in hard. That part was thick enough for me to feel some pressure (including G-spot pressure) and a good stretch without being uncomfortable even though it pushed my comfort limits. Moving it up and down on the knot itself – as well as popping it in and out – was really nice and left me feeling full despite being quite soft. Stiffer knots of this size might give me some bruises, but after tying them fairly aggressively with Vang, I only felt a little sore (which is what I expected with such a thick knot).

The knot increased dramatically in size and could only be squashed a certain amount, so I needed to force to insert it. The 2.6-inch diameter is something I know I can handle, but it’s within the size range of many larger dildos, so it might be a challenge for those who typically opt for medium-sized dildos.

The Medium Vang is a little too long for me, so I can’t say how well the knot locks. The tip is not very narrow at this stiffness, so it rarely causes discomfort from hitting the cervix. Since the head is small and soft, I didn’t get any A-spot stimulation.

Visually, the base is nice. During use, it is very difficult to hold. The thinner section between the shaft and ball prevents the ball from providing much leverage to the shaft, and there isn’t a good spot on the bottom of the shaft for a secure base. To do the thrusting, I ended up wrapping my hand around the part of the base underneath the shaft, which is an awkward positioning and very inefficient since the lube will naturally sit on that part of the base. Pushing with the ball in hand is more or less useless. The handle is less easy to use with knotted toys due to the extra resistance created when moving in and out. The double-sided suction cups hold the dildo in place, but I found it difficult to find the right spot to use them. I couldn’t really tie it down because the o-ring would slip off the smaller side of the base.

In use (verbal)

The tip size of the Vang seemed perfect for the mouth, so I gave it a try and I was right. I could fit the section above the sheath into my mouth, which was large enough to push my comfort limits and make it a challenge. The marshmallow softness is nice and soft, but it doesn’t have the hardness and presence of harder dildos. (In hindsight, it’s no wonder I enjoyed blowing the Vang; I loved The Canine from Weredog, and the Vang’s shape is similar without the risk of the shaft coming off.)

Comprehensive

Synthetic Sensations’ Vang is visually stunning and fun to use, but the basics are less than ideal. It has a strong fur texture on the shaft and has a large knot that stretches nicely, plus the upper shaft makes vaping easy and enjoyable. It’s beautifully sculpted and offers a unique furry fantasy. But the base is difficult to hold and fasten, making it inconvenient to use.

Due to the texture and strength of the knots, I suspect many people will prefer the Vang’s softer side. The softness of the toys provided by Synthetic Sensations is 00-15, and the hardness is something that few brands can provide. But for people like me who can’t always feel the softer side of a dildo, I recommend sticking to your usual hardness unless you want the knot to be easier to use.
