My favourite sex toy trend this year so far has to be the rise of the slim vibe. These kinds of toys have always been around, whether for beginners, those who struggle with penetration, or just for people who simply prefer them. But until now they haven’t really been highlighted, instead relegated to the back of the shelf just in case someone happens to ask. Not to mention that many of them have a medical, rather than pleasure, spin, and whilst there is certainly still a place for these, it doesn’t need to be the standard. Recognising this fact, brands like AROSUM, whom I spoke about in my recent guide on Vaginal Tightness, are now meeting the demand, and consumers have been showing just how hungry they were for pleasure-focused vibrators with a reduced girth. SVAKOM’s popular Cici, for instance, has been so successful that they’ve now added the follow-up model to their app-controlled catalogue, and that’s exactly what I’m going to be exploring today.
Product Description
At just 2cm / .8″ in diameter, the SVAKOM Cici 2 is the thinnest insertable toy I’ve ever used. But don’t let this fact fool you, because everything else about this product is exactly what you’d expect from a high-quality sex toy, if not more. Covered entirely in body-safe silicone, the Cici 2 is optimised for G-Spot stimulation and app-compatible, plus it boasts a huge range of inbuilt features, including a heating mode, travel lock, and memory function, just to name a few. It’s surprisingly only my second time reviewing for the US-based brand, after my 2019 post on their now discontinued Siren, but I’ve continued to keep tabs on them and have been eager to try their Cici ever since its original release. So, when they announced a new version, reviewing it was a no-brainer. Although whilst the two toys look almost the same, with the biggest difference being their colours (the original Cici is dark purple whilst the Cici 2 is light), almost all of its features and the app-compatibility is new. Which is pretty exciting considering this was already a well-loved toy before it had all of this cool stuff. With a curved head that is lightly ribbed on the inside, the 17.8cm / 7″ shaft then thins slightly before gradually ramping up to a 2.5cm / 1″ diameter. However, the intention here is that this larger girth will not be used, as the Cici 2 is only designed to have an insertable length of 9cm / 3.5″. This is because around midway down the shaft you’ll find the two buttons from which to control the toy and an area for its charging cord to plug into. Finally, the toy’s silicone is soft but firm, with the curved head being semi-flexible, and whilst it is USB rechargeable and waterproof, it is not anal-safe.
Packaging
My order with SVAKOM for the Cici 2 was placed on the 28th of June and I received it promptly on the 3rd of July. It was then mostly discreet, not mentioning the contents, although the sender was listed as “Calvista”, which is the name of SVAKOM’s Australian distributor. As for the Cici 2 itself, even though it has been five years since my last review for the brand, it seems nothing has changed with the way they package their toys, being practically identical to my Siren. Although I’m not complaining, as I loved that packaging, with it feeling very luxurious despite these being mid-range products. A mostly white minimalist box, all that features on the outer sleeve is a picture of the toy and some information on what it can do. Although a bit of a downside is that whilst I love the use of the toy’s colour behind any areas of white text on the box, with the Cici 2 being such a light purple it makes it legibility difficult, particularly on the back where the text is also very small. Removing this sleeve, you’re then presented with a white reusable storage box, which would be discreet if it wasn’t for the large SVAKOM logo, and this may then be opened up to reveal the toy presented beautifully and resting safely in foam. Also included are the Cici 2’s charging cord and manual, as well as a high-quality branded storage pouch. Finally, as with all SVAKOM products, the Cici 2 also comes with the brand’s two year warranty and ten year quality guarantee.
Charging
Charging the SVAKOM Cici 2 is easy since it is USB rechargeable. However, that didn’t stop me from being hella confused when I first went to plug it in. There is no visible hole in the toy’s silicone, and even though there is a small charging symbol on the back panel and a picture of this area in the manual, I still couldn’t figure it out. Embarrassingly, I spent a good amount of time trying to force the charger into the indent on the silicone which is clearly too small for it, until I finally figured out that the panel lifts up, revealing the hole (thankfully SVAKOM have displayed this fact nicely on their website now to help others presumably from falling into the same trap, although I got to experience this before it went live). Despite my issues, it is still a good idea, helping to keep the toy waterproof and also avoiding any fluids from getting in the hole during use since the Cici 2 has such a short shaft.
Anyway, to charge you can simply plug one end of the cord into a USB port and the other end (which is USB-C!) into the toy, with the lights under the charging port flashing during charge and becoming solid upon completion. Charging should then take two hours, with this giving you an estimated two hours of run time. Plus, the four light LED display under the charging port can also tell you how much battery your Cici 2 has, either when it is on charge, during use, or just with a single click of its main button, with one light indicating 0 – 25% charge, two lights indicating 25 – 50% charge and so on. Additionally, the toy also has a low battery alert, which is when the light flashes three times, and SVAKOM recommends charging before first use.
Controls
Whilst the SVAKOM Cici 2 can be controlled with the SVAKOM app, it still has a good level of manual control, allowing you to decide which you’d rather use. Of the two buttons, one is then dedicated solely to its heating function, and so I’ll go over that in a later section. For now, let’s focus on the main button, which features SVAKOM’s “S” logo. To activate the toy, you’ll just need to hold this down for two seconds, with success being indicated by the toy’s lights turning on and it vibrating quickly. Initially it will be in stand-by mode in case you want to connect it with the app, but otherwise you may continue pressing the button to cycle through the toy’s five levels of vibration intensity. Patterns are also then available by double clicking the button, a clever way to separate the modes, and of these there are four, all of which may also be used over the five intensity levels. When done, you can then turn the toy off by holding down the button again, although there is a bit more of a delay with the Cici 2 than most other toys, with it taking a little under four seconds to turn off from the moment you start holding down the button. In addition to all of this, the Cici 2 also has a memory function that comes into play. This worried me at first, since I typically hate memory functions, but it seems SVAKOM has actually figured out a successful way to do it. Whilst the intensity always starts at the lowest speed, it is the mode that will remain on whatever you last used, which is great if you find a pattern you love and want to stick with it. Finally, the toy also has a travel lock, which can be activated by holding both buttons down simultaneously for eight seconds, with success being indicated by the lights flashing, and deactivated by either doing the same thing or by charging the toy.
The App
This was my first time trying the SVAKOM app, so I wasn’t really sure what to expect. But I actually really loved it, and found it a fuss-free way to enjoy the Cici 2 and further enhance play. It has a good range of functions without feeling overwhelming, and the clean design makes it easy to use. Plus, I experienced barely any glitches, which is a rarity in sex toy apps. For my full thoughts, I’ve written a short review of it over at my Sex Toy App Round-Up, but you’ll be pleased to know I scored it a 4/5. As for my time using it with the Cici 2 specifically, I enjoyed being able to access a wider range of steady speeds, but otherwise I preferred to use the manual controls, as per usual.
Heating
To activate or deactivate the heating function on the Cici 2, you simply need to hold down the button with the thermometer on it for two seconds, with it lighting up when on. The shaft head will then slowly heat up to a maximum of 38°C / 100 °F. I love this added touch, as I know for me one of the biggest barriers using insertable toys is usually how cold they are, especially right now in the middle of winter. But this makes the entire head of the toy (to the point where it bends) satisfyingly warm, completely removing this worry from the equation and allowing me to enjoy the Cici 2 right from the get-go. Plus, the warmth inside is really nice as well, helping to enhance stimulation. The only real downside is the fact it does take a while, with a noticeable temperature change not being present till about 5 to 10 minutes in, so you will need to get this ready in advance, otherwise there is little point.
First Impressions
My biggest concern going into my review of the Cici 2 was its vibrations, since the main problem with having such a small body is that it leaves little room for a motor. And while there has definitely been a valiant effort on SVAKOM’s part, with the final speed in particular really trying its best, this still sadly very much the case. Not only are they fairly weak, but the vibrations contained within the thin shaft are also very buzzy, meaning they are surface level at best. The upside though is that the Cici 2 is very quiet, with the exception of that final speed, which makes it an ideal vibrator for those who need to be discreet.
My Experience
Inserting the SVAKOM Cici 2 is very easy thanks to its thin design and heated head. And even though I have a difficult G-Spot, which I feared may not work with the toy’s reduced diameter, the Cici 2 finds it with ease. Stimulating it though is another matter, and I do find that a lot of force must be applied in order to get even a small amount of the type of pleasure I get from other G-Spotters like the Njoy Pure Wand. Turning on the vibrations, these then help a little, but as soon as I add a clitoral vibrator like the We-Vibe Touch X or Doxy Bullet to the mix, I find the Cici 2 gets mostly drowned out, to the point where I sometimes forget it even has its own motor. Plus, despite my best efforts, I also find that the buttons and back panel do end up quite messy after use, especially when I’m trying to reach for my G-Spot. But, even with all this, I still had a good time with the Cici 2 and some great orgasms, and so whilst it may not compare to my other (larger) vibrators, I imagine that this would still be an absolutely wonderful toy for anyone who needs or prefers a smaller girth, for whatever reason. Additionally, I also couldn’t help but try this toy out on my clitoris, as the head is really the perfect size for it. And despite the buzzy vibrations, I actually really enjoyed it like this. While it won’t be replacing my other clit vibes anytime soon, being able to quickly switch between using the Cici 2 internally and externally really added a whole other dimension to the toy, and since this is also advertised as a beginner’s toy, it is a great level of versatility to have.
Cleaning & Care
Cleaning the SVAKOM Cici 2 is easy since it is waterproof. Simply throw it in some warm soapy water when you’re done and give it a wash. Since it’s highly likely fluids will have also gone in the indents around the buttons and the back panel, you’ll also want to scrub these over with a spare toothbrush. Next rinse, and then leave the toy to air dry before returning to its storage bag. Additionally, please be aware that this toy is not compatible with silicone-based lubricants, as they may damage the material it is made of.
Final Thoughts
Those who use slimmer toys deserve to have fun too! And I’m so glad to see SVAKOM delivering exactly that with their Cici 2. Filled with a great range of features, from a fuss-free app to a satisfyingly cosy heat mode, this toy didn’t hold back, and it is easily just as high-tech, if not more, than other G-Spot vibrators on the market. My concerns about its memory function were unfounded, with the US-brand finding a perfect way to balance it, and little details like the LED battery display, travel lock and charging port cover all showed a real commitment to quality and the user experience. Unfortunately though there is one actual problem with making a great slim vibe, and that is fitting in a motor that is still powerful. But even though SVAKOM didn’t solve this, I still had a really good time using the Cici 2, and that’s compared to my collection of premium sex toys. So for someone who doesn’t have access to these kinds of products, whether because of their size or another factor, I can only imagine how amazing the Cici 2 would be. Of course, another thing that makes this toy so great is its price tag, because for all of these features, an app, and that luxurious packaging, you’re probably expecting this to go for the big bucks. But instead the Cici 2 is actually very reasonable, dare I say cheap if you manage to get it on sale. Overall, the SVAKOM Cici 2 is a welcome addition to my collection, and the beginning of a trend I hope to see continue!
