Review: Naughty Fox Santos Flared Dildo

The Santos from Naughty Fox is a flared dildo with a wide head and finely textured skin. The detailed design makes it perfect for fantasy realism, for example imagine an anthropomorphic shaggy horse, and its shape is a classic in the fantasy market.

Design and Specs

The Santos is one of the less fantastical horse dildo designs on the market. While stylized, it doesn’t seem to have any fantasy features added to it, which could make it “too realistic” for some people. I usually think about these types of toys in terms of marketing: Naughty Fox’s ads are aimed at furries, and the rest of the product line is very stylized, with fantastical colors in the ads. When I imagine an anthropomorphic furry, I like the fantastical colors, but I can see how it might be gross to others. I personally prefer dildo designs with overt fantasy features.

The flare may not look noticeable in some photos, but it is actually quite noticeable. The flare diameter on the medium size increases from 2 inches along the shaft (which is comfortable for me) to 3 inches along one side of the head (which is much larger than I normally use). This is a huge improvement, even though the head is not perfectly round and is only 2.2 inches wide on the other side.

At medium-hard 5A, it feels comparable to a 00-60, which is a bit harder than the medium-hard 0-50 you’ll find in most stores. The matte texture feels like skin, which adds a lot of friction. (For those familiar with Twin Tail Creations toys, the texture and hardness are comparable to the silky finish of a medium-hard.)

Naughty Fox currently only offers matte colors. My Santos is black and teal marble. I don’t find the custom colors particularly exciting, but the marbling styles are varied and interesting, and they make some amazing stuff for their stock with unique marbling and color combinations.

A medium Santos like mine costs 114 euros ($127).

In use (vaginal)

Confession: I’ve only tried it a few times. The 3″ girth was a challenge for me to insert and remove, even though the girth was supposed to be manageable and the head didn’t squash. The skin around my entrance was stretched so tight that I worried it would tear. I haven’t had any injuries so far, but without practice stretching that skin, the Santos isn’t worth trying again for me right now.

Having said that, I have Inserted Santos a few times and it worked really well.

The head is definitely my favorite part. Because of the size and protrusion of the head bump, it pressed against the front wall of my penis with a constant, strong pressure that I haven’t experienced with other dildos. The internal stretch itself was intense; it was great, but I definitely need to use it in moderation.

Although insertion and removal were difficult, once the head was in, it was smooth sailing. The Santos was tall enough (and the ball heavy enough) that I could ride it hands-free, or I could lean back and push it comfortably. Either way, the head kept pushing against my favorite part.

The shaft is right up to the specs I like, so it feels full and satisfying, and fits in well with the head.

The ring a few inches below the head is negligible. I like a good quality inner ring so I was hoping this would feel good, but I couldn’t really feel that part when using it. I could feel the wrinkles above the base, but most of the time I didn’t get that deep when using this toy.

Despite the less textured look overall, I wouldn’t compare it to most less textured toys due to the matte finish. This makes it feel just as intense as a moderately textured toy.

The Santos was great to use, but it pushed me beyond my limits, so it was an experience that taught me my limits. When I was able to use it, it worked really well; I didn’t know I would enjoy such an intense flame so much. If the flame wasn’t so pronounced, or if there was a size between the small and medium — for example, a head that was comparable in size to Naughty Fox’s medium Pepper plug, or slightly larger — I think this could be one of my favorite toys.
