Review: Kraken Monster Lab Heinous Penis & Angelous Phallus

The Heinous Penis and Angelous Phallus from Kraken Monster Lab showcase the creativity and ingenuity of independent fantasy dildos. Both designs are gorgeous works of art with gorgeous removable wings on the base.

Design and Specs

Unforgivable Features demonic wings, spikes and ridges, while Angelic It’s the Angelous version, but with a slimmer humanoid silhouette and less prominent texture. Both are available in one size only, and the models were originally sculpted from clay, rather than 3D printed like most on the market. The sizes are comparable to many medium-sized dildos on the market, with the largest circumference being around 5.9″ circumference/1.8″ diameter (Angelous) and 6.6″ circumference/2.1″ diameter (Heinous). Both of mine are medium firmness 00-50, and were made in a custom color of my choice. The wings are flexible enough to flap, and can be tucked next to the shaft for easy storage.

For Heinous, I chose gold highlights instead of the light and dark purple marbles, and attached an example from a previous pour with those colors. Although the example I provided is Royal Purple, the first pour turned out to be much more lavender/pink than I expected. Since it failed for quality reasons, and had to be re-poured anyway, I requested that the color of the re-pour be adjusted, and the result is this one I have now. The highlights were very strong on the first pour, and very subtle on the re-pour, showing a light gold sheen on top of the purple.

For Angelous, I requested silver, pale pink, pale blue, pale pink, and pale blue. The silver came through—and it was very shiny—but instead of two pales and two pales, it ended up being two pales and two bolds. KML admitted that this was off target and offered to re-pour the colors, but I declined because I loved it anyway.

The color I sent for Angelous

In both cases, I deliberately chose colors that would look good even if they were mixed or didn’t turn out as expected, a strategy I use at any shop because I don’t know if their custom pours will be consistent. Pastels and light colors can be especially difficult to achieve with some manufacturers. While I don’t think the Kraken Monster Lab was up to par in terms of color accuracy, I appreciate that they offered to attempt a re-pour; that’s what I’d expect for a pour that deviated so much from the planned color.

Both packages I received were plain boxes with black and green tissue paper with a Specimen 69 sticker on them. They were sealed in plastic bags and came with their own large branded drawstring bag, soft gel toys, stickers, care cards and chocolates. One bag easily fits Angelous and Heinous, with enough room for a third dildo of the same size.

The Heinous Penis starts at 165 AUD (112 USD) and the Angelous Phallus starts at 210 AUD (143 USD). (Scroll to the bottom of this article for the discount code.)

Wings and base

The wings are a fun novelty and are beautifully crafted, as are the rest of the details on these figures. In terms of uniqueness and artistry, they are outstanding. It’s cool that Kraken Monster Lab has come up with winged suckers – another pair of angels and demons – and incorporated them directly into the toy figures.

The wings are very flexible and very pleasant to flap. While I don’t mind it too much, the thigh/buttocks/labia flapping action may be uncomfortable for some people, but the fun probably outweighs the annoyance.

The round bases of both dildos are difficult to hold. They’re very thin, so there’s little leverage unless you hold them with both hands, and even then, all the force comes from the action of my fingers against the center of the base. Pushing in is doable, but puts stress on my fingers. Pulling out is harder because I have to lean on the thin base. When I’m inserting, I usually need to grab the wings and base for more leverage unless I’m using the handle.

Heinous Penis is nice and thick. I really like how thick it is, size and texture are always a plus for me.

The texture on top is quite intense. It’s an angular, bumpy experience, like Pleasure Forge Bone Devil or Magic Within Mercio. The bumpy rhythm is like the feeling of sawing something – which is not bad! It’s stimulating. The texture is big enough to provide constant and intense stimulation to my front wall, but not so intense that it causes discomfort. It satisfies my desire for intense textures, which many of my toys are too gentle to do, but the texture is not too small to give a “sandpaper” feeling.

The curve doesn’t work well for G-spot stimulation (even though I specifically tried to angle it that way), and it’s too short for A-spot stimulation, so for me it’s all about size and texture.

The ribbed texture on the outside of the penis rubs against my clitoris during insertion. It’s not the best angle for clitoral stimulation, and the growth of the T definitely helps, but it’s a nice little bonus.

In contrast, the bottom is smooth and nice. When turning around, I still feel pressure on the front wall due to the thickness. Once I got over the wave, it locked on. It can even be held standing up without falling out. I like to insert it shallowly from that angle, but if I push it all the way in, it’s hard to pull it out again due to the thin base, so it can’t be inserted continuously and smoothly.

On some toys, I find too much texture can be uncomfortable, but the textured side of the Heinous doesn’t irritate my back wall when turning around.

I was worried that the large spikes would poke me, but I could barely feel them. They rested against the curve of my labia or buttocks rather than digging into me. My clitoris also sat between the spikes and received some stimulation on both sides, but not a lot.

Angelous Phallus has a familiar humanoid shape, which I really like.

The round base of the Angelous is the same thin as the Heinous, which is not very comfortable to push into. I had to hold the base of the wings to get a good grip on the tip. The ball is easy to hold, and because the Angelous is thinner and has no bumps, it takes much less pressure on your fingers to push into than the Heinous. However, it stays in place well while riding because it is well balanced and it is not a problem to hold down the base if needed.

The original was sculpted from clay, as evidenced by the markings on the smooth part of the shaft. The tight marbling of the casting belies this detail, and if you don’t look closely it looks perfectly smooth, but the slight roughness adds friction and makes the ride more exciting.

The delicate decoration on the lower half of the shaft is much more solid than it looks. The texture is raised without a smooth slope, making it very prominent. I was worried that the texture of the Angelous might be too low for me, but the texture level is just right and it rubs my front wall very nicely when fully inserted. I can sometimes rub myself on the outside with the lower texture during insertion. However, this is not convenient and I don’t use it this way often.

The shape is what I want in a lot of ways: a gentle curve, a full shaft (a little thinner than I usually like), and a noticeable head. I can get consistent G-spot pressure from the head and under the curve, while still getting plenty of front wall stimulation.

The glans is firm and has a gentle snap as it moves in and out. The curve of the coronal ridge is nice and smooth, but the top is textured: there’s a vulva carved into the center of the glans. This allows for some textured G-spot stimulation, which is honestly just a really neat little detail.

Both styles are beautiful and the wings are unique. I like the texture and the size is right for me, the medium firmness 00-50 is the right choice for my preference.

The Angelous Phallus is my favorite angel/demon combo, easier to use than the Heinous, and the texture is firmer than it looks. For the Heinous Penis, I would have liked to see less bulge to allow for easier insertion to take advantage of this excellent texture, but as for the bulge itself, it locks in pretty well. Both models would have been easier to use if the base was thicker.

They both work great, so for anyone who wants a winged dildo (or anyone who likes the look of the design), I would definitely recommend them if you like the texture and the thin base isn’t too much of a drawback. If you just like the wings, I’d recommend looking at the Kraken Monster Lab’s winged suction cups, which can attach to any toy with a base that’s at least 2.1 inches wide.
