Review: Kraken Monster Lab Adongis Dildo

With its beautifully carved vines and flowers, the Adongis is one of the prettiest dildos I own. The design combines two things I love—texture and humanoid shapes—with padding expansion. While it looks like it should work just fine for me, I’ll have to test it with a specific combination of features to see how well it actually works.

Design and specifications

Australia-based Kraken Monster Lab makes gorgeous designs with strong details, like the winged dildos Angelous Phallus and Heinous Penis and heart-shaped grinders. They’re one of the few brands that sculpts original designs in clay rather than 3D printing, with absolutely gorgeous results and a textured style that can’t be easily imitated by digital sculpting.

Joining the KML product lineup in September 2025, the Adongis is a one-size dildo with a thick swell and beautiful texture at the base. 2.2″ diameter (7″ circumference) at thickest point, 1.8″ diameter (6″ circumference) below bump, usable length approximately 6″. It’s comparable to many medium-sized dildos I own. The surface is matte and slightly rough.

When the medium hardness is 00-50, the texture is moderate and the texture is outstanding. Adongis can be ordered in softer and stiffer options.

I requested that my marble be a similar color to the Fairy Floss Cloud they had previously made, which is a beautiful marble in bright yellows, pinks, greens, and blues. While the colors looked clear in previous pours, on my Adongis they became pale and blended, resulting in a milky appearance.

This is consistent with my previous experience with custom colors from Kraken Monster Lab: the results on the first try are unlikely to hit the mark, especially with differences in hue/brightness. If I don’t know how reliable a store is when it comes to colors or I see inconsistencies, I tend to order pre-made toys or ask for colors even if they’re not correct but still look nice. I think these colors would look beautiful even if they were paler, bolder, mixed together, or less marbled.

Kraken Monster Lab offered to return it due to the color difference, but I declined. Independent shops like KML are small businesses with tiny budgets (and those budgets are only getting tighter); if a pour doesn’t hit the mark but I still enjoy it, I won’t ask for a refill. I already expected a certain level of variation since these are handmade items. That said, this amount of variation is notable and paying customers should be able to receive something closer to the color they requested, so I appreciate that they recognized the difference and offered in return.

While most dildos are very quick and easy to clean, even with their rich textures, they rarely have more than one or two areas that require special attention. The texture on the Adongis is great for catching gunk, so I needed to manually run my finger along all the texture to make sure it was completely clean.

In addition to the Atungis, I received a cotton bag containing KML’s Crying Willy (their ghost dildo), a few trinkets, and an experimental mollusk with a hollow head filled with soft-bodied spheres. The soft colors are a combination of dark metallics that I really like. As far as the squeezing factor goes, I can’t say that squeezing is that pleasurable, but a dildo or silicone egg made using the same concept could be fun to use.

In use (vagina)

Adongis expand moderately, giving it a natural stop for dynamic stretch and comfortable expansion without creating locked-in strength. It’s nice and filling without being too thick or difficult to remove. This shape is perfect for fantasies about having a thick cock.

The head itself doesn’t stand out, but the pleats underneath it create a very nice texture. I really like this texture on my front wall and entryway. Unfortunately, due to the downward curve, angling it to achieve this was difficult as the head ended up at an angle to my front wall.

While the texture on the lower half doesn’t look as intense, the way it’s raised makes it feel sturdier than it looksvery similar to the texture on Angelous Phallus. As someone who loves texture, this is great for me. As for how it feels, it’s a balance between well-defined and “noise” (texture that’s hard to define in use). Add to that the matte finish – which adds quite a bit of friction – and the texture really stands out. I think I prefer the vine texture to the flowers, but I’m not 100% sure what to use.

The base is easy to hold. Even on the smaller side of the base, there’s plenty of grip and enough texture to make it easy to hold. I only use this for thrust. For riding, I recommend using double sided suction cups to hold it in place as the harness/straps can get in the way of the bottom of the shaft. There is texture on the base that can be sanded, but that pretty much requires setting it down so I didn’t do much with it.

To me, Adongis is a very texture-focused design, the shape is secondary to the texture. The most effective way to use it is to push the last inch in and out to take advantage of its texture while enjoying the expansion.

Comprehensive

The Adongis is a beautiful dildo with moderate swell and a surprisingly solid feel. While I like the look of the design and it has some nice features, it just doesn’t work for me in use. The texture is more tactile than I’d like, and the downward curve doesn’t press into place for me, nor does it show off the texture directly under the head. On top of that, the tedium of cleaning up the details prevents me from using it often.

This is a good choice for medium swell and strong downswing texture. If you are looking for a humanoid dildo with a fantastic style, or want one that makes better use of that raised texture, I would recommend the Angelous Phallus from KML.
