Question on release buckle sizes

This is a bit more about a DIY question.

We have some liberator furniture and accessories.

That includes their microfiber cuffs since they’re included,

Here’s another,

My questions are, are these buckles pretty much the same? Can I buy ones, of what should be the same width, and use them interchangeably or does brand matter?

Are there things that I should look/consider?

In case it helps, my idea,

Our bed frame is metal and has spacing between the pieces. What I’m hoping for is to buy extra buckles along with straps. Take the straps and sew a loop on one side, take the other side through and it’s ‘tied’. Put the buckle, adjust length/position, and then attach the cuffs.
