Production IG announces new Rilakkuma anime

Everyone’s favorite lazy bear is making a comeback. san-x Officially announced that Rilakkuma is getting a brand new anime adaptation, this time by Production of IGa highly acclaimed animation studio, created haikyuu! and Kaiju No. 8. While all the details are still in the package, fans can look forward to the deleted information on August 25, just a few days before the opening of the Matsuya Ginza department store.

This marks a new direction for Rilakkuma, which was previously featured in Netflix’s Frozen Series Rilakkuma and Kaoru (2019) and Rilakkuma’s theme park adventure (2022). With IG production, fans can expect polished 2D style while retaining the series’ tender tone and love for slow-paced snacks.
