Polycule Party Pinks and Reds – Girly Juice

I had flown back to New York from Toronto the day before, normally air travel is pretty taxing on my chronically ill body, but luckily I had enough energy to go Raaaatscraps! My wife and I just watched a great video about Beef Wellington and it inspired her to go to a restaurant in search of delicious Beef Wellington, so that’s what we had for dinner before the show. A lovely date night!

What I wear:

• Pink cashmere sweater – just received it as a Christmas gift from my mom
• Black pants – same as above
• Black T-shirt with Apple logo (unseen) – a gift from my wife
• Pink Doc Martens Leather

• Coach rambler bag

My lovely wife mb was celebrating a birthday and asked everyone to wear solid colors at her party. I considered wearing all blue or all pink, but red won out in the end! The party was held in the singer’s “red room” so I matched the decor. A fun night with cool friends! Happy birthday, mb!

It wasn’t the most exciting day – I just went out for coffee, wrote three blog posts, and watched a really good romantic comedy. But this denim jumpsuit makes me feel happy and sexy even on the dullest of days.

• Navy Knitted Hood – Yokoo (Can’t recommend their knitwear highly enough; this beautiful, voluminous scarf has helped me survive this cold winter, and by the way, it also doubles as a makeshift pillow on an uncomfortable chair!)

Weared this to attend an improv show with my wife featuring Aaron Jackson, Josh Sharp and Jeff Hiller who were all hilarious. The result was a little dramatic because the subway was shut down on the eve of the performance. jeff was on that particular trainAlong with several members of the audience – so the show started half an hour late – when they finally arrived after their ordeal, Jeff ran triumphantly onto the stage to thunderous applause. The next set is manic at its best!

Weared this to a reading of Gay Poetry where my beautiful wife performed some poetry. It’s always fun to listen to beautiful queer people recite their beautiful words! The theme of the night was “Melting the Ice,” so I dressed stretchy in hopes of speeding up the warmer weather (and fewer federal thugs on the streets of Minneapolis and elsewhere).

It’s a silly loungewear outfit, and for good measure… I’m wearing it lying around the house reading my copy of the Press Kitchen copy of Rosa Campbell’s upcoming book about sex researcher Shel Hayter. This is an absolutely fascinating book; highly recommended to anyone interested in the intersection of feminism and sexuality, and I think most of you will read this blog!
