A content creator named Iman has revealed a “Hinge hack” that “tricks the algorithm” to show eligible singles the most attractive singles in their area.

In a TikTok video that has been viewed more than 2 million times, Iman revealed her tips for seeing “the best options” on the popular dating app.

“Basically what you do is go into settings and scroll all the way down to delete or suspend an account. You click on it,” she explained.

“A pop-up will appear that says ‘Why are you leaving Hinge?'”

She instructs viewers to select the option “I’m not happy with the hinge experience.” The app will then prompt the user to continue using the app and offer a “fresh start”, promising to refresh the user’s feed.

After pressing “Try it,” the user’s Hinge algorithm should reset and “you’ll see a completely different type of person,” says Iman.

Iman claimed that her choice was even “better.”

“It’s like a different hinge,” she added.

Viewers showed their support for the dating app creator, rushing to their settings to try out the cheat.

“This is crazy, it works so well!!!” one excited user exclaimed in a TikTok comment.

“Just did this and swiped right,” agreed another.

But not everyone is happy with their choices, claiming they’re seeing more of the same people even after the algorithm reset.

“The first 10 to 20 are better, but then you just repeat everyone you’ve already swiped left on,” one person complained.

“I’m not sure I’m seeing an improvement doing this,” someone else quipped. “But it probably has more to do with the fish in the sea here.”

Of course, there are also compatibility issues.
