Mr. Donut launches new 2025 Pokemon version Foongus Donut
Mr. Donuts just announced their 2025 Pokemon Collaborations line-up. This year’s featured character is – Tamagetake, also known as Foongus in English.
Mr. Donut’s Pokemon drops are a very popular collaboration that have become an annual tradition. As the top media franchise of all time, it makes sense to team up with Pokemon to combine the joy of video games and donuts with childhood nostalgia.
The donut chain has been teaming up with The Pokemon Company to launch fun themed donuts as well as its year-end offerings lucky bag Lucky bags have been launched since 2018. The collaboration, of course, begins with Pikachu as the featured character donut, as well as a Pokeball design. Since then, other Pokemon have made their way into the seasonal menu, including drinks, merchandise, and themed pastries. 2020 saw the launch of Rakki (Chansey), 2021 saw the launch of Eevee, 2022 saw the launch of Purin (Jigglypuff) and Snow Pikachu, 2023 saw the launch of Kodakku (Psyduck), and 2024 saw the launch of Diguda (Diglett) and the network-exclusive Dugtrio.

Collaboration menu
The eighth part of the Mister Donut x Pokemon collaboration will launch on November 5, featuring new food and merchandise.
Menu includes:
- Fluffy Pikachu Donut (341 yen): Fluffy yeast donut filled with whipped cream and topped with custard-flavored flakes and chocolate chips
- Amazing Tamato Donut (341 yen): Cake donut coated with white chocolate and strawberry chocolate, served on white chocolate coated whipped cream puff pastry
- Crunchy Pikachu Tail Donut (264 yen): Puff pastry coated with white chocolate and yellow crunchy topping and a pick (non-edible) Pikachu tail garnish
- Amazing Mimikkyu Chocolate Donut (¥231): Cake donut filled with custard and whipped cream, covered with chocolate glaze
- Stunning White Biriridama (Voltorb) Donut (231 yen): Cake donut filled with custard and whipped cream, covered with white chocolate

Mr. Donut welcomes Fongus
As per usual, this Pokémon has a clever pun. Its Japanese name Tamagetake is “Tamakita! ” (“Awesome!”) and takeChinese characters for mushrooms and fungi. As the protagonist, Yuzhu’s wordplay appears throughout the campaign throughout the year.
The character entered the Pokémon canon in 2010, first appearing in the fifth-generation video game Pokémon Black and White. Polygonatum is a grass-poison-type Pokémon that uses spores to attack and paralyze its opponents. It evolved into Morobareru (Amoonguss).
Exclusive merchandise
This collaboration will also provide Exclusive merchandise It will launch on the same day. These items can be purchased in special packages.
The regular merchandise set (2,114 yen) includes two donuts of your choice from the series, a pon de wreath-style donut and a blanket, all wrapped in an original Pokemon paper bag. The blanket measures 100cm x 64cm and comes in two designs: Pikachu and Poké Ball.
The kids’ set (1,109 yen) includes a donut of your choice from the collection, a pon de wreath-style donut and a Pikachu glass in an original paper bag. The glass is about nine centimeters high and narrow in the middle, making it easier for children to grasp.
