Relationships can take a lot of different forms, from monogamous to “monogamish” to polyamorous. Each approach has its own unique set of advantages and challenges. So how do you figure out what kind of relationship is right for you—and how do you navigate it successfully?
Join me for a lecture and workshop at the V Club in New York City on October 16 to learn more. We will explore a range of relationship options and what you need to know about how each one works. We will look at what scientific research can tell us about which kind of relationship might be right for you and the key things you need to know for establishing and maintaining a satisfying sex and love life no matter which path you choose.
What We Will Cover:
- Are humans meant for monogamy or non-monogamy? We will dive into the research and explore what the science says.
- What does it mean to be “monogamish?” Or to be polyamorous? We will explore the different “flavors” of non-monogamy and what makes each one distinct.
- What kind of relationship is right for you? Research suggests that different people may be suited to different types of relationships based on their personality patterns.
- What are the advantages and challenges of monogamy and consensual non-monogamy? Does one type of relationship tend to work out better than another?
- Getting the sex life and relationship that you want: We will discuss science-backed tips for maintaining happy and healthy relationships, whether you want to be monogamous, polyamorous, or something in between.
