Mixed bags shohei ohtani when pitching back
Nearly two years from the mound, Shohei Ohtani earned a long-awaited pitching return on Monday night to start the series against the Padres. His “feel good” jogging in the backstage with Michael Bublé, and he received a huge applause from fans. His last time on the Mound Major League Baseball (MLB) faced the Cincinnati Reds on August 22, 2023, when he retired from arm fatigue after just 1.1 innings.

The two-way superstar allowed Fernando Tatis Jr. and Luis Arráez back-to-back singles, then Manny Machado won the Sacrifice Fly to win Tatis Jr. Before that, he probably should have struck out on Machado, who was ruled to check his swing on Ohtani’s 1-2 sweeper. Ohtani threw 28 balls – 16 strikes – hit 100.2 mph with his fourth seam. He averaged 96.8 miles per hour on nine fastballs. In the second inning, he was replaced by Anthony Banda.
Instead of entering the canoe, Ohtani wore it on a batting glove near the railing and walked to the deck to lead the situation. He beat Padres to stop the starter Dylan. Ohtani was the first national league player to start the game with a pitcher and a leading position since 1953 of the New York Giants’ Alvin Dark.
In the third game, Ohtani tied with the left center with RBI doubles. He added two more hits when the Dodgers led 6-2 in fourth place. Machado hit the lead home run in sixth to reduce the deficit. However, with the National League Western Conference leaders winning the game 6-3, there are no more points.

Mipp Island IPpei reports to US prisons
On the same day Ohtani was selling for the Dodgers, his former interpreter reported to the federal prison in Pennsylvania. In February, Ippei Mizuhara was sentenced to 57 months in prison for stealing nearly $17 million from the Dodgers’ two-way global superstars to pay off illegal gambling debts. He was also ordered to pay $18 million in damages, most of whom went to Ohtani, paying $1.1 million for the IRS.
According to the Federal Bureau of Prisons, Mizuhara is being held in a low-security prison in Allenwood. Since he is not a U.S. citizen, he may be deported to Japan after completing his sentence. Between November 2021 and March 2024, the former invader stolen $16.59 million from one of Ohtani’s accounts. He also stole baseball cards to resell them and filed a fake tax return in 2022. Prosecutors claimed his motives were “greed” and “unaddiction”.
