Men fall in love almost twice as fast as women, new research

Men may have hardened the outside, but surprising new research finds that they fall in love almost twice as fast as women.

The Australian National University academic community surveyed 808 young people from 33 different countries, including the United States, to reveal the differences between genders.

The findings show that it took more than four weeks for the average man to fall off his heels, while women move much slower.

“The average love progress score for women is 1.92 months after the romantic relationship is formed, while the average love score for men is 0.98 months, which indicates that men fall in love earlier than women.”

Not only do men fall in love faster than women, but they fall in love more frequently.

The men surveyed fell in love on average 2.6 times, while the women were 2.3 times.

The people who underwent the study were between 18 and 25 years old.

Given that ordinary participants have been in love many times despite their relatively young age, research shows that romantic love is common.

Throughout life, many young people may continue to fall in love several times.

Meanwhile, the study found that while men fall in love more frequently and faster, women are more likely to experience stronger feelings when they ultimately commit.

Scholars declare: “Women have higher feelings of romantic love, higher commitment and obsession with loved ones.”

They further explained: “Men will fall in love faster than women because male fitness landscapes benefit potential partners rather than quality, while women are the opposite.”

“All of this is consistent with the gender differences in partner choices, and women are more picky than men.”
