It’s time to take a closer look at Lovense Gravity, the thrusting dildo that’s raising eyebrows in the sex toy community. We will explore everything from design and functionality to competitor comparisons, while also getting into user experiences and how the Lovense Remote app plays into things.
It’s not to hype or tear it down – it’s to share an honest and down-to-earth take on what Gravity is about. This way, you can decide if it’s something that will float your boat and worth your wallet.
What’s In This Article?
What is Lovense Gravity?
Lovense Gravity is a step up from your normal dildo because it moves on its own, offering a different pulling action than what you may be used to. Coupled with the Lovense Remote app, you can mix patterns and speeds as you please. It’s also easier to spice things up in long-distance scenarios because you can sync with your partner’s device online. Gravity is Lovense’s way of throwing a little fun into basic sex toys, aiming to make personal playtime more interactive and personalized.
Gravity’s Key Features
Okay, let’s take a quick look at what Gravity is about before we jump into the deep end of how it’s actually used. This part is like a trailer before the main movie – and it gives a taste of its vital parts. By understanding the basic Gravity features, you’ll have a better idea of what to expect when we get to the hands-on testing part of the review.
Design & Build Quality
Gravity is made of this soft, body-safe silicone that is extremely durable and waterproof, so you will have no trouble cleaning it or bringing it into the shower. It has a detachable suction cup base to stick to flat surfaces and go hands-free easily. The entire thrusting bit is designed to mimic real-life movement (well, as close as any sex toy can get) with 140 strokes/min and a 3 cm (1.18 in) stroke length. The shaft also has a bit of ridging to add texture stimulation to the overall experience.
For anyone interested in the layout of the inside, the “accordion” section (some people refer to it as the “folding” section) is where the thrusting mechanism is housed, and below that, the rest of the tech guts and motor. The vibrator sits in the tip section.
Toy Size/Measurements
All things considered, it’s a fairly standard dildo size – with average (or slightly larger) girth and enough length that most people will find a level of thrust depth they enjoy.
Vibrations, Patterns, & Intensity
These toys bring a combination of vibration patterns and steady power levels to the party, creating a variety of vibrations for different moods. The first three button settings give you the expected low/med/high levels. After that, there are currently 4 standard patterns you’ll find in all Lovense sex toys – Pulse, Wave, Fireworks, and Earthquake.
For anyone who doesn’t like the manufacturer’s settings, you can reprogram Gravity through the app to change the power levels and the patterns to anything you want. It’s also important to remember that there are actually 10 pattern slots you can program into the toy by either making them yourself or downloading creations from the free Lovense library (all made by other users). You can also store as many patterns as you want in the app.
Sound Levels
Noise is most important when dealing with anything that can be used for discreet public play. But sound levels are still vital if you have other people who can hear beyond the borders of your bedroom, especially if you have paper-thin walls. Since Gravity is meant for indoor play only, it can get away with slightly higher sound levels.
At around 50 decibels, Lovense Gravity’s sound level is comparable to a quiet conversation. For reference, 60-70 decibels is a normal conversation, a dishwasher running in the background, or the noise of a busy office. At the lower end of the range of 30-40 decibels you may hear sounds akin to a whisper, the rumble of a refrigerator, or the rustling of leaves.
“As a cam girl, I can tell this is going to be the next greatest thing when it comes to live-streaming adult shows.” ~ Jordan Emery, beacamstar.com
Battery Life & Charging
Lovense Gravity has great battery performance. It takes about 120 minutes to fully charge, but that can vary depending on how much juice is left. Once it’s charged, you have about 3.5 to 4 hours of playtime depending on how intense you like it. There’s also the Lovense standard magnetic USB charging feature for easy power-up.
Cleaning & Care
To keep Gravity at its best, it’s important to properly take care of it. After each use, wash with mild soap and warm water or use a safe brand of sex toy cleaner. Then, let it air dry completely before storing it in the included satin bag, which not only keeps it free from fuzzies but adds privacy.
Remember that water-based lube is the only option because silicone sex lube will destroy the silicone casing and ruin the toy. And don’t forget to recharge Gravity every 6 months if you’re not using it.
Price Point
When you weigh the cost of Lovence Gravity against other thrusting dildos, it can be more expensive than some of the entry-level options, but its advanced functions make it a reasonable price especially compared to expensive models and other versions in the same price bracket. If you find Gravity too expensive, you can always wait for holiday sales when discounts or bundles are better.
Harnessing the App’s Power
Syncing Lovense Gravity with the Lovense Remote App is simple, making it convenient to control any kind of experience the menu offers. With just a few taps on your phone, you can customize settings, play around with different intensity levels, and personalize buttons. It’s all about making your pleasure uniquely yours, tailored exactly to your liking. But there’s a lot more to the app than most people realize.

My Testing Experiences
I’ve actually never tried a thrusting dildo before. Regular dildos? Plenty. So this was going to be a very new experience for me. Also, I should start by saying I was a bit nervous because the idea of a machine thrusting inside me was a little scary. I don’t think of them the same as sex machines because I think I’m paranoid about the accordion section pinching inside. But that also could be a result of seeing far too many poorly designed sex toys.
I started by inspecting the Gravity. It had the design and quality I’ve come to expect from Lovense. The silicone is smooth with very little drag and the casing is sealed, which makes it waterproof.
Then there’s the end portion, which has two options – you can have the suction cup (by screwing on the attachment) or you can keep it off and attach the end cap. This makes it a regular thrusting dildo. I like this addition a lot.
“Thrusting” dildos might seem rather redundant because you’re going to be thrusting them by hand anyway. But the idea of the thrusting mechanism is to give your hands and wrists a rest as well as being able to play in different positions.
But just how strong was this suction cup? I’ve had other toys in the past that would pop right off the wall or floor with barely a nudge. So I made sure to put Gravity through some vigorous testing. I put it on my tile floor, the one room that has wood flooring, on the tiles in my bathroom stall, as well as against one of the painted walls.
I gave things a good tug in several directions (with a force that would be stronger than its performance during actual use). On tiling, it didn’t pull away or slide in any direction. It was a strong little sucker – pun intended. The wood floor was also pretty decent but I had to be careful not to put it along any cracks or seams otherwise I found it wasn’t as strong of a connection.
Even with water, it stayed in place. As for the walls, I kind of knew what was going to happen because even the company says that painted walls aren’t a good idea. This is because the surface isn’t completely smooth, so the toy did come off with a strong enough tug.
With that out of the way, I was confident enough to start testing it internally. I first used it without the suction cup and the end cap on. Gravity has a decent fullness to it and the textures are enough that they don’t take away from the experience, but rather add to it.
I turned it on and kept it on low to get used to the sensations – but I still positioned it pretty shallow before sliding it in more to the accordion section. I don’t know why I thought it would pinch and pull my body, maybe I’m just paranoid, but the thrusting section of the toy wasn’t a problem at all I didn’t even feel the folds.
The thrusts are short – as advertised with a 3 cm maximum it can extend. This is nice for beginners or those who don’t want intense penetration. On a side note, I will say that if someone has labia lip issues (because vaginas coming all shapes and sizes) do what I did and be careful around the accordion section until you’re confident that it works for you.
“The vibrator is in the head of the toy, so it was hitting all the perfect spots – even while the shaft was in full motion. Those combined sensations were absolutely incredible. I was really tempted to let it slowfuck me into a powerful orgasm – or maybe five.” ~ Emma Austinn, loveemmaaustin.com
The vibrations were also very nice – deep and rumbly. And coupled with the thrusting it was a very enjoyable experience. Even if I didn’t reach orgasm I like the sensations. It’s nothing against the toy, I’m just someone who needs clit action to get over the edge. Next, I tested Gravity with the suction cup against surfaces I knew it would stick to.
Against a safe wall, I have to say that I didn’t like it but that’s because of the shape of my body and the fact I can’t be on my knees or bend over for long periods. Having it on the floor was far easier because I could be in more control of how far it went in. I’ve seen pictures of this toy stuck to a chair but I didn’t want to try it because the toy is far too long and they make a point of telling you there is an insertable section versus the base.
Despite its flares base, Lovense reminds users that this is not an anal toy. They don’t promote or recommend Gravity for any kind of bum play. So please don’t use it that way. If you want anal sex toys, there are plenty of safe choices in the Lovense Store.
I also found that to reach my G-spot it was better to use it manually rather than with the suction cup. But others might be more acrobatic or dexterous than me.
As for the shower I gave it a quick go but my shower stall is quite small so it was hard to get in a good position and I probably looked ridiculous while trying to do it LOL. Larger shower areas or bathtubs I think we’ll be far more successful.
I don’t have a partner to test the long-distance functions but I was still able to tinker around with them through the app just to make sure everything was copacetic. Out of all the app features, I think the ones that work with gravity the best are ambient sound reactions, long-distance syncing, audiobook syncing, VR or interactive porn syncing as well as adding additional toys for other areas like the bum or nipples.
“Don’t let the secure hold fool you into thinking the shaft is flimsy; the Lovense Gravity’s solid hardware feels extremely durable. No joke, I feel like I could keep this thing by my bedside for self-defense.” ~ Kaelie Sweeney, Bedbible.com
- I don’t think it’s a toy that’s ideal for interactive gaming because it’s not a hands-free sex toy. Although I have read other reviewers that creatively put it in between their legs so it gave them some external clit action instead – bonus points to them for creativity!
- The battery life was excellent. My benchmark is a one-to-one ratio, as in 1 hour of charging per one hour of battery life as the bare minimum. Gravity surpasses this quite well.
- Charging was simple with the magnetic clip. I didn’t have any issues with it falling off like other users have mentioned. I just kept it on my side table, didn’t touch it and it was fine.
- Cleaning was also easy, however, this is a sex toy that needs a bit of extra care because you need to be very thorough about cleaning around the accordion section to make sure nothing is left behind. I would also suggest if you want to air dry it, make sure the accordion is extended.
- All in all, Gravity was a fun toy and something I can see people loving if they enjoy internal stimulation.
Indulge in Gravitational Bliss!
Blast off into a new realm of pleasure with Lovense Gravity. Featuring toe-curinling thrusting action, tantalizing vibrations, and app-controlled mastery, this thrusting dildo will take your pleasure to new heights.
I give Lovense Gravity thrusting dildo a well-deserved 8.5 out of 10 – with points off just because it’s a toy that’s harder to clean and a bit difficult to target the G-Spot with the suction cup. But that’s me being very picky and harsh in my rating. As for who would love this toy versus who might want to pass, you can keep reading further into the article for a detailed list.
