Lelo Investigation Warns Up STI Risks
Last year’s Poll Distress signals from WO indicate that condom use in sexually active adolescents has dropped significantly, resulting in a high unprotected gender rate and an increase in the risk of sexually transmitted infections. Following these disturbing findings, the Swedes’ sexual health power today Condom use among different age groups was investigated
.
A survey with six thousand participants, from GENX to GENZ, highlighted the worrying trends in condom use.
Lelo 2025 Condom Use Survey Results
- When asked about their use of condoms during intercourse:
- 30% say they have been using them all the time and spend most of their time using condoms, even with long-term partners.
- While not as important as the decline among 15-year-olds surveyed by the WHO, 17% of all participants in the Lelo survey said their use of condoms has dropped significantly over the past five years.
- Meanwhile, 15% claimed that their use of condoms increased significantly.
- Almost 40% say they use condoms the same way they used to.
Shockingly, 8% said they had never used condoms.
The reason for condoms
- Among people who use condoms, the reasons for using them vary:
- Most people use condoms to avoid illness (38%).
- Pregnancy is a big problem, with 34% of people using condoms to avoid pregnancy.
6% admit that they use condoms because their partner asks them to do so. Following this response, it is interesting how people would respond if they were using condoms. Nearly one-third (32%) would be happy if their partner brought this, while one-quarter would use it as a sign that their partner cares about their health. Meanwhile, 12% say this will attract attention and question the partner’s sexual history, with almost 10% explaining it as if their own sexual history is being questioned.
Factors that cause this decline
Reduce perceptions about HIV risk
In some cases, advances in HIV prevention have reduced the need for ongoing condom use, masking its importance to preventing other sexually transmitted diseases – 6% believe that AIDS is no longer a threat from the 1980s and 1990s.
Change attitude
Some young people report negative views on condoms, believing that they can impair sexual pleasure. Most respondents said that sexual behavior without condoms felt better (37%), while 16% believed that the time it took to wear condoms was simply disrupting the flow and suppressing emotions.
Socio-economic inequality
The survey points out that there is a correlation between condom use and socioeconomic conditions, with 68% of people saying that income, education levels, access to health care can lead to condom use or other contraceptive measures. A better education for all will fight the common fallacy – almost 15% believe that having a few partners is not good at using condoms. 14% find buying condoms embarrassing.
One in 10 people think that sexual behavior without condoms is not a big problem, and 10% of those surveyed concluded that condoms often break, so they are not worth using and/or too much trouble for condoms, so they just choose not to use them.
in conclusion
Even if the overall decline is not as stunning as it is among teenagers, the consequences of this trend are serious. Refusal to use condoms directly affects the increase in the risk of sexually transmitted infections and leads to higher medical expenses. Focus on comprehensive sex education and public health campaigns, as well as access to prevention (condoms) and health care needs to address this critical issue and protect the health and safety of people around the world. Meanwhile, condom manufacturers are playing their role,Create protected products without suppressing experience
. Advances in condoms include new materials such as organic source of latex, which introduce enhanced efficacy through uncompromising pleasure, providing users with any excuses.
