Most men do enjoy sex. The feeling of entry is incredible, the climax is amazing, and everything in between is awesome.

Most women also enjoy sexual intercourse. But most people don’t climax from intercourse without additional stimulation.

Some say men’s “obsession with penetration” is unfair to women, preventing them from enjoying sex, or preventing them from fully enjoying sex. I’m not one of those people, but it makes sense if you don’t go too far. Are we missing out on opportunities for our wives to enjoy sex when every sexual encounter involves what we want most?

If intercourse is always a part of your lovemaking, try excluding it occasionally. Focus on learning to please your partner with your hands, mouth, or vibrator. And, there are ways to rub your genitals without penetration that can be very pleasurable for both of you, so explore those too. Then add what you learn into your daily life.

If you find that she’s more willing to have sex when you make it clear that you won’t have sex, that would make sense. If this is the case, you’ll need to have some discussion to figure out what it means and what changes you might need to make.
