Let’s start with a question you’ve no doubt been debating in your group chat: Would you fall in love with someone who only texts?

69% think the answer is yes, probably.

Honestly, we get it. Texting is a big part of modern dating, and sometimes the vibe manifests itself before the first date. Before you start planning a Costco membership, make sure you can feel that same spark in person.

This either proves that you are very mature or that the name does not ruin a good relationship. (Even if it feels like déjà vu.) Regardless, we were impressed.

We asked you for that oddly specific green flag, and wow, did you deliver. You mentioned everything from the “TikTok bird trend” to “carrying snacks just in case” to “spending a lot of time with grandma” to “wanting to hold hands and enter the temple.” (Wow! )

Amid the chaos, there are four clear top Green Flag categories:

  1. hobbies – You want someone who is passionate, someone who takes more than just selfies. Whether it’s a shared hobby or just something that excites them, your inclusion of personal interests is a major green flag. Don’t be afraid to show your interests because that’s where you really are!
  2. family – This isn’t a shocker for a church-focused dating app: Family values matter. a lot of. Being close to family, wanting to start a family, and valuing family life are top indicators that “this could be something.”
  3. picture – Good photos = major green flag. You shout out about the profile with real, clear, authentic pictures that don’t contain (or ask for) anything inappropriate. But don’t get it twisted, only 4% of all responses were particularly concerned about appearance. The rest is about the story your photos tell. (Learn why your photos may be the reason people are attacking you. )
  4. temple – Not surprisingly, temple involvement, temple goals, and positive referrals all rank as strong indicators of a Mormon support dater’s long-term potential.

The best part?

All four Green Flag categories can be displayed on your Mutual profile.

Interest tags are a powerful way to show off the things that matter most to you, from hobbies, interests, and personality to beliefs and values. Remember: Shared interests help spark good connections, but they aren’t the whole secret to a happy and healthy relationship. Look for common ground, but don’t be afraid to give people who are different a chance!

You are more united on this than anything else:

Jelly: The Official “Please Don’t” for Church Stuck in 2025

The gelatin may be wobbly, but apparently it is no Inspire joy. So take note: if you see someone cute lingering in your ward for an extended period of time, you can relate through a shared dislike of the jelly salad that the bishop’s wife lovingly (and inevitably) brings.
