It’s hard to buy lubricants designed for TPE/TPR toys in my country. I tried twice but it didn’t work, because for some reason the postal service I order from doesn’t like shipping any liquids, so I had to find other ways… So, I’ve been looking for homemade alternatives while looking for ways to order good lubricants. I tried corn starch lubricant, but it didn’t seem to be good enough for me, even when the inside of my toys was very smooth, I still felt too much friction. What worked for me was flax seed lubricant, but I couldn’t find any information on whether it was safe to use with TPE or TPR toys. Since I couldn’t find any information about it, I asked chatgpt, and it told me that flax seed lubricant is considered a water-based lubricant, because the process of making this lubricant is just to boil a small amount of flax seeds in water, so it should be safe to use with TPE/TPR toys (I asked a few times and chatgpt was very confident about this answer). However, I know that flax seeds have oil in them, and when you put them in hot water, the oil comes out… and TPE/TPR toys don’t like oil, even in small amounts. So, what is the truth? Perhaps someone here has tried using linseed lubricant with TPE/TPR toys?
Is homemade lubricant made with flaxseed safe to use with…
