I recorded and released an audiobook for “101 Kinky Things”

When I wrote my first book, 101 Weird things even you can doBack in the fall of 2019, I had been hoping to record an audiobook.

This book is an introduction to kink and BDSM for beginners or anyone looking to expand their kink palates, so it’s written in the same friendly, compassionate tone I strive for in all my sex education work. Through working in a sex shop, I learned that people feel insecure and apprehensive when pursuing their desires, especially taboo desires, so using the right tone is an important part of making them feel welcome, safe, and open to exploration. I took the same approach 101 Strange thingsand it was a pleasure to be able to tell this book the way I had always heard it in my head.

Recording the audiobook has been a fun process – I set it all up in my home podcast space in Bushwick and drink an oat milk latte every day (better for the voice than milk!) to keep me energized while talking loudly about spanking, bondage, wax play, fear play, and more.

This audiobook was commissioned by the wonderful people at Echo Point Books, and the deal was brokered by my wonderful literary agent, Iris Blasi. Big thanks to Echo Point and Iris for making this happen!
