I keep getting urinary tract infections from using dildos

I have a dildo that I bought at Spencer’s about two years ago. It is 100% liquid silicone and free of phthalates and latex etc so it should be body safe. I wash it thoroughly with antibacterial soap and water before and after each use. The problem is that after using it about six or seven times I got a very bad UTI. I have used it anally once and since it has a flared base but I washed it thoroughly afterwards so I don’t think there would be any bacteria… left on it? Does the silicone degrade? Can anyone recommend something that is body safe and less prone to degradation than silicone? I would prefer to buy from Spencer’s since it is the only sex toy store in the area. I still live with my parents so I need to proceed with caution.
