How do I clean my toy properly?

I recently got my first toy in my life and my friend told me I need a toy cleaner specifically made for it but another friend said I just need antibacterial soap and it works just as well. I’m nervous and I want to make sure they are cleaned and disinfected or what, I don’t know I’m a newbie don’t laugh at me haha. I really appreciate your help!
