Actions speak louder than words.

A psychologist has revealed how you can instantly notice if someone doesn’t like you – based solely on their body language.

Francesca Tighinean, a Romanian now living in the United States who studied psychology at London Metropolitan University, explains five ways you can tell someone doesn’t like you.

In a one-minute TikTok clip uploaded on December 20, Tejianian detailed the importance of eye contact and claimed that a lack of eye contact can be a red flag.

“First, avoid eye contact,” the psychologist says. “This suggests they are trying to avoid deeper connections or conversations.”

Another sign to watch out for is pursed lips.

“Pursuing your lips is a nonverbal cue that expresses anger, stress, or dissatisfaction,” adds Tejianian.

You can also tell if someone doesn’t like you when they move their body or feet away from you during a conversation.

“This may indicate a desire to disengage. They may subconsciously position themselves toward the exit or away from the interaction,” she continued.

When you interact with someone and you notice that they have their arms crossed, this is a sign that they are setting boundaries.

“Putting objects like bags or crossed arms between you may symbolize a need for psychological or physical space,” the expert said.

If the person takes a step back or maintains a noticeable distance, it may mean they feel uncomfortable around you.

Facial expressions are a big indicator if someone doesn’t like you.

“A lack of genuine smiles or limited facial expressions indicate a lack of interest or lack of enthusiasm in the interaction,” Tijian wrote.

While a psychologist can pinpoint when someone doesn’t like you, she always knows how to make people like you instantly.

In the resurfaced video, Teijian lists several ways to endear yourself to coworkers, such as asking people for favors, calling them by name, and waiting a few seconds before replying to a message, as this will make the recipient feel like you are. Be thoughtful about your response.

Many people resonated with this tactic online, claiming it helped them become popular.

“This is such a good name [not going to lie],” someone commented.

“I actually did all of these things without even realizing it,” one TikTokker said with a laugh.

“Realize I’ve been doing this my whole life and that’s why I’m happy with 70% of the people in my city,” another added.
