First time dildos and plugs need advice

Just purchased the Lollipop Slim Small Gem Butt Plug for my GF. We are complete beginners and want to make sure health is a priority. Can I just use Dove Mild Moisturizing Soap or Dial Antibacterial Foaming Hand Sanitizer to clean a dildo or plug? Also, the first time I do anal sex with her, I should buy a string for the plug so it doesn’t come out. It’s open, but I’ve heard of these dildos getting stuck on girls before.
