A British scholar has come up with a controversial new idea of how to deal with the abbreviation of Incels (for “involuntary celibacy”), a marginal group of mostly young men who are angry at women, gender and society while staying the best single.

These men also accuse women of lack of sex.

Solution? Speed Dating Coach.

British scholars have a bold fix for Incels – angry, long-time single men are clamoring for women and sexual behavior online. It involves speed dating and special coaching. Pixel-shot – stock.adobe.com

Dr. Andrew Thomas, a senior lecturer at Swansea University, has extensive research on the Incel movement, told The Times that helping these men develop basic social skills can actually undermine their toxic view of things, especially when it comes to women and dating.

“My point is that for many of these people, there is a huge deficit in knowing how to have any social relationship at all,” Thomas said.

He continued: “And helping them, which puts them in a social position and it’s hard to hold their perspective.”

Thomas also said, “If you never suffer half of the population, it’s very easy to hate 50% of the population.”

Thomas clarified that his advice was not to “let these guys lie down”, but to give them tools to build normal relationships.

He noted that research in Singapore shows that at least for some men with socially stunted development, dating coaches may actually work.

“Coaching their dating skills can improve their connection skills, which can lead to long-term relationship formation,” he said.

The INCEL issue has recently attracted mainstream attention, thanks to Admencisce, a buzzing Netflix drama that has stepped into the darker corners of Manosphere.

This has caused a new wave of educators, lawmakers and parents about how young boys can be included in what British Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer calls a “vortex of hatred and disgust.”

“But when you encourage these guys to go out and start re-engage with their family, re-engage with their female friends – this can be said for their counter-explanation that the anti-example of these women is not one-dimensional, but three-dimensional.

Of course, no one said it was easy – or that every Incel wasn’t a speed date meeting, not emotional maturity.

Even Starmer admits there is no magical fix: “There is no easy solution to stop a boy from being dragged into a vortex of hatred and misogyny.”
