Exhausted mum tells us about her husband’s annoying habits

A mum vented to her husband about his late-night bathing habit that was preventing her from getting a good night's sleep.

Nothing truly tests the bonds of a marriage more than bedtime conflicts.

An Australian woman says she’s had enough of her husband’s late-night shower antics.

“I ask my husband to take a shower at a reasonable time, like 8:30 p.m.,” she said.

“He wanted to take a shower before going to bed”

This was because he often released water between 11pm and midnight, causing her to lose precious sleep.

“Every time he took a shower late at night, I would wake up and then I wouldn’t be able to sleep for the next two or three hours,” she explained.

When confronted, her husband simply said: “He wants to take a shower before going to bed.”

But for the exhausted mother, the days were tiring enough.

“The next day of working and taking care of the kids is exhausting,” she said.

Frustrated, she turned to a Facebook group for local community moms for advice.

“Does anyone else think he’s acting selfishly? He can’t see where I’m coming from,” she asked.

“A choice”

Many commenters were quick to criticize his actions.

“He can totally shower at different times without affecting his quality of life. It’s so scary to be woken up all the time!” one mother wrote.

“I think in this case he needs to compromise,” another said.

Some people want more details.

“Did he wake you up because he was taking a shower in the suite? Or was it because he came in to get some clothes or something?” someone asked.

The original poster clarified that it was a mix of the two.

“He woke me up from the shower and he came in with his phone flashlight to get some clothes,” she said.

Others suggested he use another shower in the house, but that didn’t solve the problem either.

“He tried both, but they were close and had the same effect,” she explained.

Some commenters offered a different perspective, arguing that if his late showering was because of work, that might have been justified.

But that’s not the case.

“Staying up late is definitely an option,” she said.

It seemed that it was not the water that was flowing, but her patience that was running out.

“Men never do anything quietly,” she joked.
