Santa – congratulations!

Two strangers got the greatest gift at SantaCon – each other.

Mike Krall and Rosalie Gandarillas, who met at a famous Manhattan event of debauchery and booze in 2021, are getting married.

The couple, both 26, first met each other at Beer Authority in Times Square, the final stop of their festive and oft-reviled December pub crawl, where revelers dress in Christmas-themed costumes.

Gandarilas, who wore an “ugly onesie from Target,” used Kral’s “Santa Claus” sweater as her pick-up line.

“I said to him, ‘I love your ugly sweater,'” she recalled. “The next thing I knew we were talking for a long time.”

The two soon realize they have a lot in common besides their tacky costumes, and manage to find some healthy Christmas magic amid the unruly surroundings.

“He mentioned that he was one of five kids and so was I… and he said, ‘I’m the second oldest.'” And I was like, “Me too!” He said, “My birthday is in August.” I was like, ‘Me too,'” Gandarilas said.

“I remember saying to him, ‘Who told you all this about me?’ He said, ‘Nobody does that. I’m telling you all about me!'”

Gandariras’ sisters – who captured their initial conversations and even their first kiss on camera – then dragged her away so they could go to Appleby’s – but Kral asked for her phone number.

After they left, Gandarelas remembers gushing to her sibling, “Oh my God, he’s great.”

“They said, ‘You’ll never see him again.'”

That’s a logical expectation since they live 120 miles apart, Gandarillas in Farmingville, Long Island, and Krall in Manasquan, New Jersey.

But on the train home, Gandarelas received a text from Klar — and from that day on, “there wasn’t really a day that went by that we didn’t text,” she said.

“We know everything about each other,” Kral added. “We just didn’t meet.”

“The train ride from New Jersey to Pennsylvania takes about an hour and a half [Station]and then an hour and a half train ride from Pennsylvania to Ronkonkoma. Plus driving to and from the train station,” explained Gandarillas.

“My thought was, ‘She’s great, but she’s still four hours away,'” Kral said.

They would FaceTime and watch movies together virtually. “We’d say, ‘Okay, one, two, three, go,’ and hit the same button,” he said. “Someone would go get some snacks, so we would stop.”

After 10 months, they finally arranged to meet again. They would meet at the University of Pennsylvania and then take a train to Citi Field to watch the Mets game.

“His train was late. I was like, ‘Oh my God, he didn’t show up.'” When he did, my heart raced. I was so nervous and my Apple Watch was like, ‘Are you working out?’ ‘” she recalled.

After they started dating, Gandariras, who works as a medical scribe, and Kral, who works at a pizza shop, both decided to apply for the New York City Teaching Fellows teacher certification program.

Now the couple lives in Fresh Prairie and is both a high school teacher in Queens.

“It’s embarrassing to say this, but our time together has really changed our lives,” Gandarilas said.

The soon-to-be bride and groom, who had an engagement party at the Beer Authority and hope to tie the knot at St. Patrick’s Cathedral next year, were invited to attend the opening of this year’s SantaCon on December 13.

“Santa will deliver a special shout of joy to commemorate their Santa Claus convention love story,” event organizers told The Washington Post.

SantaCon attracts about 30,000 people spread out over 25 different bars, so the expectant couple hit an estimated three different bars that day, feeling like fate brought them together.

“It’s crazy because there are so many people to meet and so many places to go in Santacon,” Gandarillas said. “So our meeting felt destined.”
