One of the largest pop culture events in the world, Tokyo Comic Con Tokyo Comic Con (Tokyo Comic Con for short) returns for its ninth edition and will be held at Makuhari Messe from December 5th to 7th. Tokyo Comic Con 2025 will not only have the largest lineup of celebrity guests, but also the largest number of exhibitors. Guests can explore fun activities and photo spots, browse art exhibits, and purchase conference-exclusive and limited-edition merchandise before anyone else.
The Marvel and Star Wars pop-up store will feature more than 1,700 exclusive and pre-release items. The Warner Bros. Discovery booth will feature a variety of merchandise related to its guest celebrities and franchises, such as Lord of the Rings, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them and Superman. Warner Bros. Cosplay rules and registration information
One of the highlights of Comic-Con worldwide is the massive parade of cosplay fans. Cosplay is a great opportunity to meet new people in the community and showcase new crafting skills. Fans of movies, anime, comics, games, and more dress up as their favorite characters. Tokyo Comic Con has several important rules that cosplayers need to know.
All Cosplay guests must register at the registration desk and receive a Cosplay participation certificate and hang it around their neck or bag. Guests wearing fan merchandise and costumes do not need to register as cosplayers, but guests wearing capes or robes, wearing headdresses that cover their faces, or carrying prop weapons will need to obtain a certificate of participation to ensure safety. The certificate (2500 yen) includes full-day use of changing rooms and cloakroom luggage storage. Registration for role play is free for elementary school students and below.
Cosplayers should avoid wearing overly revealing costumes, carrying potentially dangerous props, displaying symbols that criticize or ridicule specific groups, and wearing costumes that could be mistaken for professional uniforms such as those of the military or police.
