I understand why people do this, and I know that sometimes it seems to be the best choice. However, when you lie in your marriage, your marriage will be paralyzed. Or worse. Your marriage will never become better, and it will shrink over time. You are living for divorce or as a roommate.

If you have been doing it for many years, it will be difficult for you to change. But this is the right thing. The best way is honesty. Tell your wife, you have been hiding who you are to avoid difficulties. Explain that you realize that this is not good for you and your marriage, you want to change. Ask grace and promise to give a lot.
