A Nashville, Tennessee, father sent the internet into hysterics after he humorously listed things his wife told him that he could never escape saying to her.

The first item on the list that dad reads aloud from a piece of paper in front of his daughter and fiancé has to do with clothing.

“‘Change out of your pants before we go, your pants are sagging,'” the Southerner said, making his wife and daughter laugh.

He then began listing his “favorite” rhetorical taboos, repeating, “‘Fix your shirt so your belly isn’t showing.'”

The Tennessean native said he was particularly upset with that last statement, as he claimed his baby bump wasn’t as prominent as his significant other described it.

“I’ve been doing sit-ups and push-ups all these years and I have no belly!” the outraged father declared, to which his confused wife retorted, “but you don’t want it to show.”

“It doesn’t stand out!” the incredulous father shot back.

This isn’t the first honest spouse statement to go viral recently.

In October, a man named Fred claimed in a letter to his wife that he couldn’t be a father or husband for a few hours because the Knicks were playing.

“Tonight, October 22, 2024, marks the opening game of the 24-25 season for the New York Knicks,” he declared, “and I will be watching the game tonight. You are going to have a few hours to yourself.”
