They added a new rank of five priests, established a new festival to commemorate the cult, and added a new day to the calendar every four years to worship the king and queen. This created the most accurate solar calendar known to the ancient world, with 365 days and quarters each year. Ptolemy III and the traditional Egyptian priests stood out from this meeting with a stronger alliance, and they wanted to know it. The decree states that its terminology is stuffed in pictograms and Greek with stones or bronze plaques to be posted in every temple in Egypt. That’s why it’s so compelling that this example is engraved in only one language.
