Chalovelo Thrum Bunny Vibe – Girly Juice

Chalovelo Thrum Bunny Vibe – Girly Juice

I did a weird thing today and reviewed a vibrator I had already reviewed at the request of the sales company. But you know what? Maybe I’ll feel differently this time. After all, my vagina and I have aged almost a full year since my last review!

What is a Charovello string?

The Thrum is a rabbit vibrator, meaning it provides both vaginal and clitoral stimulation. The outer arm is pretty standard—it just vibrates—while the inner arm vibrates, massaging the G-spot area with textured beads that swell and swell on the shaft, and Mechanically stroke the A-point with its gently upturned tip. It’s an ambitious multitasker, that’s for sure!

Thrum currently retails for about $60. It’s a rechargeable vibrator made of silicone and ABS plastic that’s IPX6 waterproof, which means you can wash it in the sink or use it in the shower, but it shouldn’t be submerged in water.

What I like about Chalovelo Thrum:

  • Superior A-Spot Stimulation: man oh man Does my point A like this toy? The tip of the Thrum’s shaft—which is shaped vaguely like a rooster’s head and has a gentle crowning ridge—moves up and down in a stroking motion, like a partner’s fingers. There are 3 solid tempos, followed by patterns, some of which are rhythmically consistent while others are more frustratingly uneven.
  • Individually controlled arms: As always, I appreciate that you can control the outer and inner arms separately, or even use one while the other is off. My G-spot and A-spot may require different intensities of sensation from the clitoris at different points during sexual arousal, so it’s nice to be able to control these components individually.
  • Clitoral arm shape: The toy’s outer arms look a bit like a dolphin balancing a ball on its nose. It might look weird at first, but it’s surprisingly versatile – depending on how I position it, I can get wider stimulation through the thickest part of the shaft, or more precise stimulation from the tip. My wishes in this area may change throughout the session, so it’s good to have options.
  • Clitoral arm flexibility: I really think the (more expensive) We-Vibe Nova 2 revolutionizes the bunny vibe category by incorporating its clitoral arm Very Flexible so you don’t lose clitoral contact when pushing the toy in or out during use. Many other sex toy companies have taken a leaf out of We-Vibe’s book in this area and are now making bunnies with curved clitoral arms – it works really well here, giving me leeway to push the toy if I want, and even position the clitoral arms higher on the clitoral hood or lower on the tip of the clitoris, depending on my mood.
  • price: $60 is not a bad price for a body-safe, rechargeable bunny.

things i No Just like Chalovelo Thrum:

  • Buzzing clitoral vibrations: The outer arm is a make-or-break aspect of the bunny vibe, as most vulva owners get off primarily (or entirely) through clitoral stimulation. Therefore, I wish the clitoral vibrations from this toy were more rumbling and powerful. As it stands, they’re of medium intensity, and their buzz prevents me from orgasming with this toy because my clitoris becomes a little desensitized and detaches after a few minutes.
  • There are only 3 stable speeds: The Thrum’s inner and outer arms have 3 stable speeds, followed by 7 modes. I’m not a big mode guy and would have preferred more basic speeds to choose from. There isn’t much variation between speeds either, and the amount of pattern feels like it’s trying to make up for the lackluster motor.
  • Short battery life: It can be used for up to 50 minutes after 2.5 hours of charging…which isn’t great.
  • Loudly: People in the same room as you can certainly hear this toy’s mechanical whirring, and in some cases even through closed doors.
  • Lindy: No matter what silicone formula the manufacturer chooses for this toy, it’s very susceptible to collecting lint, dust, hair, etc., so you may want to give the toy a quick rinse before each use.
  • Both modes are enabled by default: This won’t bother everyone, but it bothers me – once you turn the toy on, both arms open up (rather than being in a “standby” mode where you can select which features to turn on), and the feeling can be quite jarring, especially if the toy is already inside you at the time. At one point, this caused me to yell “Wow! Jesus Christ!” so loudly that my wife heard me through the wall.

final thoughts

I wish Chalovelo made a Thrum version only A-spot stroking part because I loved That part of the toy! I keep thinking how hard I would go if I could pair this kind of stroking with a clitoral vibe that was actually rumbling, intense, and had more than 3 steady speeds, because unfortunately, the Thrum’s clitoral arm just doesn’t work for me.

Still, I think it’s a playful bunny vibe with features I’ve rarely seen elsewhere. The textured beads on the shaft massage the vaginal walls in a cool way, and the offbeat shape of the clitoral arm makes it versatile. I just wish they would have given this toy a better, roarier motor and ideally longer battery life. But at $60, the Thrum is a good bunny at a reasonable price—and it’s hard to hate a vibrator that looks like a dolphin performing magic tricks.
