Bonus Event: Special Tacos and Cocktail Pairing Night

Before the anniversary party, 86-the hotel’s stylish rooftop penthouse, known for its artistic and sexy drinks, inspired by the American Ban era, will host a special taco and cocktail pairing night. The special food event will take place on September 27, bringing together two famous chefs from across the Pacific: Jake Geragos of Tacos and Shinsuke Nakajima, head of operations chefs for Kimpton Shinjuku Tokyo.

Geragos, an American-born chef with roots in Lebanon, Syria and Armenia, cultivated the multicultural taste buds through traditional recipes and honed his skills at Michelin-starred restaurants in New York and Los Angeles. He opened the dirty tacos in 2021 and quickly gained praise from food lovers and critics for his Tacomakse menu, a multi-course tasting experience curated by a chef-curated taco. For tasting, Geragos will work with Nakajima, an experienced and highly respected Japanese chef who oversees and directs cuisine at Kimpton Shinjuku Tokyo.

Together, they presented a vibrant menu that included six innovative tacos and served with four sophisticated cocktails. Mix the rich flavors of New York street food with top-notch Japanese seasonal ingredients, a mouth-watering option. The daisy tacos are characterized by their fine, tender meat and a juicy, rich flavor topped with grilled ricotta – which sounds particularly appetizing. Dessert tacos, served with Mont Blanc, Vanilla Mousse, and crushed hazelnuts and almonds, will complete the meal.
