Bride finds fiancé’s disturbing wedding

A bride canceled her wedding after finding a “major red flag” with her fiancé.

The 28-year-old woman shared on Reddit about her five years with her 30-year-old fiancé, who plans to have a wedding later this fall.

To provide context, she shared that the two of them spent years planning their lives together, including buying a house together to live with their future children.

“It’s been talked about a lot,” she stressed.

But he seems to be thinking about his future with others.

“Welp. It turns out he has bought a house. But not with me… with his mom,” the poster reads. “And he didn’t even tell me he was watching.”

“Obviously she found the ‘perfect place’ and convinced him to separate from her [because] She “don’t want to rent it anymore.” So now, he does not plan his future together, but is closely related to his mother, who will live full-time. ”

When she asked her fiancé, he simply told her that she could move in with her future mother-in-law.

“When I asked me for all these places, he left, ‘Oh, well, you can certainly move in too!’ Like I should be happy to live in the house his mom picked out, partly owned, just… it’s been there,” she shared.

The groom-to-be pushed back and justified the decision by putting it back on the woman.

“He also admitted that he did it [because] “It took me a long time to save it, and his mom gave him a “faster way” to have something,” she said.

The bride is “shocked and angry” and tells him she needs space – before ending her engagement.

“The more I think about it, the more I realize I can’t marry someone who thinks it’s normal. So, I canceled the wedding,” she admitted.

The fiancé’s family began to “blast her phone” after making a decision, calling her “dramatic” and “overreacting.” They insist that “it’s just a house” and that they can still “live together”. Even the bride’s parents told her that canceling the wedding was “extreme”.

But the commenters on Reddit Post agree with the bride that it is a “huge red flag”.

“He didn’t just buy a house. He built the whole future with his mom and turned you out. It wasn’t a mistake… It was a conscious decision to prioritize her over you. Did he think you were just a guest at home with his mother’s control? Disrespect hell,” one wrote.

The same person added: “It’s not just a red flag, it’s their parade. If you marry him, you won’t get a husband… You’re signing to be the third wheel of the fantasy of the mom he relies on. He’s already made the choice, not you.”

Another said the “after-thinking” of the groom becoming a bride.
