Book Review·Lesbian Review
A Heart Full of Hope by Cheyenne Blue It is a romantic story about a pair of lovers who are enemies of the Snow Queen, and the story takes place in a quaint small town in Australia.
Hazel enjoys working part-time delivering groceries to people in her small town, mostly because it allows her to visit and sometimes do unrelated things and fix things around people’s homes. She wanted to start her own repair business, so she thought extracurricular activities would be friendly and good advertising. Her favorite customer is George, even though his dog Chip is a biter. One day the old man fell over in the bathroom and suddenly needed more than lighthouse maintenance, tea and Tim Tams on the balcony.
Halfway across the country, Imogen’s senior corporate job is about to become a top job when she gets a call that her favorite uncle, George, is injured and needs help. Immie (as he called her) managed to spare a few days to arrange care, but found he needed more help than she could easily provide. His irritatingly optimistic friend Hazel is increasingly helpful, even though it puts too much pressure on her prosthetic leg. At first Imi doesn’t trust Hazel’s motives, but she slowly learns to trust her.
writing
The author’s descriptions are interesting and informative. I never felt like my view of any scene was incomplete, except for the author’s sometimes dry descriptions. Snow Queen Yimi encounters some very harsh truths about herself and her view of the world, and the author doesn’t shy away from that in the first place, but also makes the character think everything through and then take steps to solve the problem. This makes sense and proceeds logically. I love how the author made the moment when they first really notice their mutual attraction feel real and sweet.
Pros and my favorite part
All the characters are well drawn and don’t resemble each other. Even the low-key bad guy is interesting because he’s not actually evil, but rather an incompetent and privileged man. I have a love-hate relationship with Chip the Dog because biting puppies are no fun, but his big personality almost changed my opinion of him.
Yimi and Hazel may be from the same country, but they have absolutely nothing in common, and it’s fun to watch the two collide until they notice their attraction to each other and start a romance. I loved seeing the Snow Queen being told to her face that she was the Snow Queen.
The romance is only borderline dramatic, consisting mostly of a sweet falling in love with a completely unexpected man at the urging of the lovable Uncle George. Their first kiss is awkward in a funny way, while the rest of their story has compelling ups and downs.
careful
Nothing but a biting puppy.
in conclusion
When elderly George suddenly needs nursing care to recover from a fall, his niece Immie squeezes a few days out of her busy corporate schedule to find him a caregiver. She discovers that his impossibly cute friend Hazel has done a lot for George and is suspicious of her motives until she finally realizes how kind and a good friend this woman really is. The women fight each other and resist George’s dating attempts until they begin to notice an attraction.
This book is very sweet for a dramatic romance, with hills instead of mountains on the road to love. Hazel’s disability plays a major role in the story, and her resilience is inspiring. Yimi makes a great ice queen because the author spends a lot of time thinking about the changes in her life.

The desk lamp is slightly lowered. “I’ve never heard of you. That doesn’t explain why you were taking something from his refrigerator.”
“I put them in!” Hazel said in frustration. She waved to the bag on the counter. “If I were stealing from George, I wouldn’t be buying cans of baked beans and packages of sliced ham.”
The lights came down again. “Why didn’t you ring the doorbell?”
“George gave me a key. There were no cars outside, no sign of anyone being home. The blinds were down.”
“I’m working on my laptop. I prefer dim lighting. My car is in the garage.” Chip strode closer, then let out a thunderous roar and lunged for Imogen’s ankles.
Hazel suppressed an amused snort. This time, Chip found the right attack pattern.
Imogen jerked and was gone before Chip could get a grip. “Please control your dog.”
“Chip, come here.” Hopefully he would listen to her for once.
Surprisingly, he did so, sitting at her feet. The hairs on the back of his neck stood up and he kept letting out a low growl.
“That dog is a threat. You shouldn’t have brought him here.” The woman put down the lamp and crossed her arms.
“He’s not my dog. He’s George’s. I’m surprised you don’t know that.”
“I don’t show up very often.”
“Or you can call. Chip has been George’s dog since he got him from the shelter two years ago.”
“He should have been left there,” murmured Imogen.
“Chip or George?”
A slight smile appeared on the woman’s lips. “Maybe we should start this conversation again.”
