Black dye in sex toy caused allergic reaction and long term…

*

I’m a 28yo male with a fairly healthy lifestyle. I exercise regularly (3-5 times per week of intentional exercise) and I had no health problems or allergies before a few month ago.

A few months ago my partner and I were playing with a new sex toy (chastity cage). Everything was fine during the use of the toy. A day or two later, my skin on my penis swelled up like balloon and remained swollen for several days. I needed a steroid to make it go down. Thinking it was a fluke and not knowing the direct cause, my partner and I used the same toy a few weeks later and the same reaction happened the next day. Bingo we have a correlation. After several visits to the doctor, urologist, and dermatologist, we determined that I’m allergic to a chemical in the black resin dye used to color the toy (first time I’ve had an allergic reaction to anything like that).

Problem solved, right? Nope. That was several months ago and since then, the swelling has ceased and things are normal until I masturbate. Every time I masturbate, my penis swells up a bit and takes a day or two to go back down to normal. This was NEVER an issue before having those allergic reactions to that sex toy. I’m at a loss of what to do now. Is this something I have to live with for the rest of my life? Did the allergic reaction cause a permanent sensitivity? Has anyone had this happen before? It’s snuffing out my sex drive because I can’t use my penis without worrying about it swelling up!
