Best Ways to Clean an Automatic Enema Ball

I have an “automatic” enema bulb that I use for cleaning before anal sex. Normally after use I clean the outside with antibacterial soap and the inside with some water/soap mixture through the hose and pump. Then rinse and dry. Last time I used it like a fool and left it for about a week with some water in it (cleaned the outside in the shower). Now it smells musty inside. Any suggestions on something to clean the pump/inside with to clean it and make sure there’s nothing in there that could cause harm? I know they’re cheap and I could just buy a new one. But I’d rather not waste it if possible.
