Australian identical twins reveal how they plan to ‘share one’
Identical twins have revealed how they plan to share a boyfriend and live together as a “threesome”.
Gold Coast sisters April and Amelia Maddison have shared everything from the moment they were born – from Barbie dolls and bikes to dresses and makeup; it’s always come naturally to them.
Now, the 20-year-old twins have grown up and are still very close.
In fact, they’re so close that they decide to find a boyfriend together – that is, once they find the “perfect” man.
Speaking to news.com.au, the twins explained that it takes a “special person” to meet their unique requirements.
“People say it’s a weird thing for twins to fall in love with the same person, but Amelia and I have the same taste in almost everything,” April said.
“We both find the same type of men attractive and look for the same things in a boyfriend.
“We like a man who is tall, muscular, tattooed and handsome. Most importantly, he must be kind, down to earth and have a good sense of humor.”
The two women made the decision because they had both tried to separate from their boyfriends in the past, but claimed their partners were always jealous of their close relationship.
So, with only one boyfriend, the twins believed this wouldn’t be a problem.
“When we had a boyfriend in the past, we found that he was initially happy to date twins,” Amelia said.
“But soon we became jealous because we spent a lot of time together rather than alone with him.
“We actually find that when only one of us has a partner we can spend time together, the three of us talking and hanging out, which is more fun and convenient.
“The guy himself wasn’t ready to date a set of twins, but it gave us the idea of just having one boyfriend for both of us instead of one each.”
April and Amelia said that while they are excited to go on dates and hang out together as a “threesome,” there is one activity they will keep separate.
“Our boyfriends would only have sexual contact with us, one at a time,” April said.
“Since we didn’t share a bedroom, he would live alone with each of us in turn.
“Maybe half the week in one bed and the second half in the other bed.”
While some may feel jealous in this situation, the sisters are adamant that this “will never happen.”
“We would never be jealous of each other. We are best friends and do everything as a duo,” April said.
“We have the same friends, hang out together, and have the same taste in everything from fashion to travel destinations.”
“We can’t imagine a situation where we would be jealous of each other. It has never happened and it will never happen.”
They even have the same taste in men, which makes their pursuit that much easier.
“The best things about this relationship are the moments we get to be together,” Amelia said.
“Let’s go for a walk on the beach and go shopping together. I hope he can help us carry our luggage.
“We wanted a tall, handsome man with tattoos. On top of that, they needed to have a great sense of humor and a good heart.”
The two said that while they knew the situation wasn’t for everyone, it was what they wanted and didn’t care what others thought.
“People tend to judge anyone or any situation they don’t understand,” Amelia said.
“They don’t need to. It suits us and our lifestyle.”
“If we’re all happy and not hurting anyone, other people’s opinions don’t matter.”
Amelia and April have earned more than $8 million in the past two years through online content creation.
The young women recently snapped up a $6 million Gold Coast mansion called “Bella Casa,” complete with a luxurious pool villa and commercial-grade cocktail bar.
They added that while many people sometimes feel the need to find a partner for financial gain, twins make their own money and just want a man they can get along with.
“Honestly, we feel like a lot of couples choose to stay together for financial gain because two incomes are better than one,” April added.
“We don’t have to worry about that because we already have good revenue.
“I think a lot of people dream of spending a night with identical twins, but we really want someone who we can blend in with.
“He also needs to understand that while we hang out together, there are times when the two of us need to be alone together like twin sisters.
“It won’t always be about him.”
