Singles in the U.S. who are looking for political pace and medical benefits are swiping their cards in Canada.

American residents reportedly are frustrated by the situation in the United States and are facing the temporary dating app north-facing – hoping to find love, allegedly a divided society and a better quality of life.

According to the Toronto star. In the south of the popular matching app hinge border users, people have been updating their profiles to say they live in various Canadian cities – just to see what is possible.

Ellie Coverdale, a 39-year-old Arizona educator, moved her position to Toronto ahead of the 2024 election, but did not look back.

“It’s a breath of fresh air compared to the chaos we’re experiencing in the United States right now,” she told the paper. “Several friends have moved to Canada recently and they are all about how great the cultural and political scenes are.”

She is not alone. Since Donald Trump’s re-election, MapleMatch, a dating app created after the 2016 election that pairs Americans with Canadians, is said to have seen new interests.

More than 5,500 new users have joined since November, with 1,000 loggings conducted on the last election day.

“I get a lot of emails from people in the United States and they’re really frustrated and hope I help them find someone who meets their values,” he said.

He continued: “They live in a small town in the United States and there is no one around them and they want someone in Canada to share their political views or observe how they should live.”

Canadian relations coach Channa Bromley told exports romantic relocation is nothing new – but it is politically full of immigration.

“When a country feels unstable, so is the dating pool,” Bromley said.

“Pick a partner who has access to other environments, not just emotions – it’s evolved.”
