Advice on anal sex?

My girlfriend and I are about to start anal sex. I told her I would buy a butt plug and I’m considering getting beads but haven’t talked about it yet. I don’t know if we’ll like it so I don’t want to spend $50 on a toy if we might not keep it (if we keep it we can always buy something more expensive later). Where should I go to get a cheaper, decent quality toy? What kind of lube should we use? Is there any way to know what size to get? Do you guys have any other random suggestions?
