A potentially unsafe toy was used, now what?

I’m M23 and I just purchased and used my first masturbator assistant. I’m concerned that it may not be safe and wanted to get some advice online. Basically, when it arrived, there was a faint smell of something (perhaps gasoline?) and the toy felt powdery to the touch. I washed it in cold water and both the powdery feeling and the gasoline smell were gone. I’m guessing this must have been from the shipping process. I continued to use it and after I was done with it, I noticed some light stains on my penis. There was also a slight burning sensation on the tip, but I think that was from friction burns from the toy being so tight. I immediately showered and googled and became aware of unsafe toys and potential dangers. This obviously freaked me out and I threw the toy away, but I’m wondering if there are any potential long-term effects from my one-time use and if I should be concerned/take next steps. Any help would be much appreciated!
