A porn star has sparked health concerns after recruiting 1,000 men to take part in her world record attempt to sleep with the most men in 24 hours.

British adult entertainer Lily Phillips recently started accepting applications for her annual record-breaking event, which is currently scheduled to take place in January.

The current record holder is adult film star Lisa Sparks, who slept with 919 men in one day at a sex industry event in Poland in 2004.

At the time, Sparks reportedly said she “had a great time but was in pain for a week afterwards.”

However, Phillips, 23, claimed she had been “training for months” to be physically able to handle the challenge.

So what physiological effects will a total of 24 hours of sexual intercourse have on the body?

Sydney doctor Dr Zach Turner, who specializes in preventive care, warned that when “pushed to extremes” the activity could have negative effects on the body.

“Sex is inherently a physically demanding activity that requires the mobilization of various muscles, the cardiovascular system and the release of endorphins,” he told news.com.au.

“When done in moderation, it’s similar to a good workout—promoting stress relief, cardiovascular fitness, and emotional connection.

“However, when taken to extremes, such as a 24-hour sex marathon, the physical and physiological toll can be severe.”

Common problems that may arise from repetitive behaviors include bruises, tears, and general aches and pains.

“It’s like running a marathon without prior training; overuse injury, dehydration, and extreme exhaustion are almost guaranteed,” Dr. Zucker continues.

“Former record holder Lisa Sparks herself admitted that she was in pain for a week after the attempt, a clear sign of overexertion.”

Phillips said she had been engaging in numerous sexual acts, gradually increasing the number of times, as part of a physical training program.

“I’ve done 101 and in a few weeks I’m going to do 300, it’s like a boxing match,” she told the outlet reality check Podcast recently.

“I think I’m going to be sore by the end, but I think I have the right determination to keep going.”

However, during a recent training session, Phillips admitted she found it “tough”.

“Sleeping with 101 men in 14 hours is much harder than working a 9-to-5 job,” she claims.

“If you’re talking about day-to-day work, like going to the office, sleeping with 101 men is even more taxing.”

Although consensual sex is known to have health benefits, Dr. Zucker warns that these benefits disappear if the behavior continues for 24 hours.

“Sex has many benefits, including improved cardiovascular health through moderate physical activity, stress relief through the release of oxytocin and endorphins, and increased intimacy and emotional connection with your partner,” he says.

“However, in this extreme scenario, the risks overshadow the benefits.

“Fatigue reduces pleasure, and continued physical exertion can shift from beneficial to harmful. While this may be a form of cardiovascular exercise, it may ultimately do more harm than good.”

Dr. Zucker emphasized that other factors that affect health include a higher risk of transmitting sexually transmitted diseases and psychological effects.

“I’ve done 101, and in a few weeks I’m going to do 300, and it’s like a boxing match,” she said recently on The Reality Check podcast. Instagram / @lilyphillip_s

“From a medical perspective, it is crucial to respect bodily autonomy and the right of individuals to make choices about their own bodies,” he said.

“However, such extreme efforts raise questions about intent, emotional well-being and potential coercion.

“Social media amplifies these events, often prioritizing shock value over genuine health or personal growth.”

Phillips has been outspoken about the practicalities of planning such a feat, saying reality check Podcast She has a personal assistant to organize the schedule of events and hires security.

“The plan was to have a room with two doors. The logistics of it were crazy,” she said.

“People who wanted to participate had to send in a photo of themselves holding ID, and my PA had to basically organize them into hours-long slots.”

She went on to say that finding the number of participants needed to break the current record was “difficult enough” but said completing the task within the “time limit” was also another challenge.

“I just wish there was a conveyor belt that they needed to walk into the room and leave,” she said.

She is now actively recruiting men and the response to the scheme has been overwhelming, with many shocked by the move.

“Everyone has 41.6 seconds each in 24 hours to do this,” one person commented.

“I feel tired just thinking about it,” another commented.

As more people said, it’s “disgusting” and “sad.”

Others commented on the number of sex workers who have gone viral for their stunts in recent months, such as Gold Coast’s Annie Knight and OnlyFans star Bonnie Blue ), who had her Australian visa revoked over her antics at school and was “barely legal” as an 18-year-old.

“Why, why, why do we normalize this crazy behavior?” someone questioned.

“I think there are bigger issues than logistics,” said another.

Sparks, known by her pornographic name Lisa Sparxxx, sparked controversy with her world record after the Polish government discovered the incident and threatened to arrest anyone involved.

“Full transparency with everyone; this is by far the most regretful thing I have done in my 23+ years in the porn industry. It is also the only job I have ever agreed to do purely for money,” she wrote on her website.

She also revealed that she was “so bored” during the stunt that she ordered a Macca’s.
