Pieces referencing the “Rin-Poh-Ki-Ryu” concept are found throughout the hotel. In Japanese, the word is shorthand for the Kirin, Phoenix, Turtle and Dragon gods – all of which are traditionally believed to bring good luck and herald a time of peace. Along the stairs of the main entrance you will find a huge mural depicting these four divine beings painted by famous kimono designer Jotaro Saito.

The décor of the lobby and restaurant is filled with nods to Japanese themes, mythology and the beauty of the seasons – a sleek white dragon painted on plaster canvas, gilded screens depicting pine and bamboo forests, and exquisite wood carvings of auspicious animals. Owari Inaba’s exquisite service Kappo fine food and exquisite tempura, while Ukai-tei’s Shoryu offers an exquisite teppanyaki experience featuring local produce and premium beef.

Ryujo Nagoya Castle lives up to its name, offering elegant Cantonese dining focused on seasonal seafood and expertly crafted dim sum, while Sushishunbi Nishikawa serves Nagoya-style sushi at a counter facing the historic landmark, with each piece assembled by hand with gentle precision.
