Marie’s Chocolate is a manufacturer that has been producing confectionery in Shibuya since 1950 and has made a huge contribution to Japan’s chocolate culture. Marie Chocolate, along with Mozorov and Morinaga, helped introduce the concept of giving chocolate during Valentine’s Day in Japan. This season, the brand is once again collaborating with the beloved Finnish fantasy series Moomin. This marks the 12th collaboration between Marie’s Chocolate and the Moomin franchise.
The “Moomin and the Peaceful Forest” set (2,592 yen) is a box filled with various chocolates inspired by the world of Moomin. Varieties include milk tea, apple and chocolate butterscotch.

Mary Chocolate offers tin designs featuring other characters such as Little My and Snufkin. The Moomin House Pouch (1,980 yen) features crunchy café au lait and cinnamon roll chocolate, all in a fun bag inspired by the tall Moomin House.

Some products from the collection will be available exclusively in department stores, train stations and online stores. The Little My Pouch Set (1,650 yen) is a faux leather pouch printed with a mischievous Little My pattern and filled with Moomin-shaped chocolates. Each location will restrict different bag colors. The Takashimaya store will have white bags, the Kintetsu store will have yellow bags, and the Mitsukoshi/Isetan store will have silver bags.

Pokemon
Marie Chocolate also collaborates with another very popular character series, Pokémon. The collection features nostalgic pixel illustrations and candies inspired by some of the most popular Pokemon.
The pink assorted can (1,512 yen) contains chocolates based on Psyduck, Slowpoke, Slowbro and Snorlax, with milk tea, strawberry, apple and pistachio flavors respectively. The purple assortment box (1,512 yen) has been completely replaced by Ditto, with all pieces inspired by the eccentric shape-shifter. The Legendary Pokemon Set (2,160 yen) is inspired by Groudon, Rayquaza, Kyogre, Giratina, Dialga, and Palkia—flavored with honey lemon, Uji matcha, salted caramel, blood orange, soda water, and blueberry, respectively.
The chocolatier also has other Pokémon sets, including jars of chocolate-covered almonds, figs, cranberries and pecans (1,944 yen) inspired by different types of Pokémon. The Eevee pouch (1,980 yen) features artwork of various “eeveelutions” such as Umbreon, Glaceon, and Sylveon, and contains chocolate chip cookies.

Snoopy
The Plaza lifestyle store offers an exciting range of Snoopy-themed chocolates, with fun packaging that brings out the Peanuts charm. The Snoopy Mozoroff collaboration offers a gift set (1,210 yen) containing nine chocolate bars in a cute jar with four-panel manga illustrations.
Plaza’s “Choco-Aid” bandage-shaped chocolates have long been a staple of the brand, loved for their novel designs. As seasonal varieties, there will be a limited edition peanut chocolate auxiliary bag (745 yen) starring Lucy and Snoopy, a chocolate auxiliary carabiner bag starring Sally (792 yen), and a regular bag starring Charlie Brown (648 yen). For photography enthusiasts, the Peanuts Eureka Camera Jar (972 yen) comes with a detachable lens and milk chocolate that mimics retro film packaging.

Give your Valentine a luxurious box of chocolates with Disney magic. Disney Store has launched three character chocolate collections this season. Godiva collaborates to create original chocolates available only at Disney stores. The milk chocolate and toasted hazelnut chocolate features a winking Mickey Mouse, while the dark chocolate lemon ganache is topped with a blue topper topped with edible glitter inspired by fairy dust.
These chocolates are available in various gift sets. The plush toy set (7,900 yen) includes a box of four chocolates and a chocolate Mickey plush toy. The plate set (5,800 yen) includes a box of six chocolates and an original collaboration plate. The bag charm set (4,900 yen) includes four chocolates and a Mickey charm. The Grand Place Candy Box (12,000 yen) is the luxurious centerpiece of the collection, featuring a two-level drawer containing 23 chocolate bars. The Disney Store also offers other Godiva merchandise, such as tote bags, keychains, and mini towels. Customers who purchase Disney Godiva products will receive an original shopping bag.

Godiva has teamed up with Nintendo to launch the cutest chocolate collection, featuring a variety of Animal Crossing villagers.
The limited-edition Belgian chocolates pay homage to different characters and elements from the heart-warming video game, with pieces inspired by Tom Nook, Isabelle, Chrissy, Francine, Anthony, Patty and more. The Chocolate and Tea Set (3,240 yen) comes with six pieces of chocolate in a special jar and an original collaboration mug with a lid that can also be used as a small plate. The tea mat set (3,240 yen) also comes with a 6-piece jar and two leaf-shaped mats.

Miffy
Miffy, also known as Nijntje, is a beloved picture book character created by Dutch artist Dick Bruner. Although Miffy originated overseas, it is extremely popular in Japan. The Mozoroff Miffy collection was inspired by the collection’s simple yet adorable designs.

The Miffy Sweet Home gift box (1,620 yen) contains 11 chocolates, including eight Miffy-shaped chocolates that can be placed cutely upright. The fabric box resembles a book and has a Miffy patch on it. Miffy pouches are available in a variety of colors. The Navy Miffy (1,320 yen) comes with six pieces of chocolate in orange, passion fruit, yogurt and milk flavors. The white and candy blue versions (1,100 yen) come with five pieces of chocolate. The Miffy Picnic Box (1,728 yen) contains eight pieces of chocolate and two mini egg tarts, with Miffy and Melanie’s images printed on the can. Sanrio
Kobe-based chocolate brand Goncharoff was founded in 1923 when Russian confectioner Makarov Goncharoff fled Russia to Japan during the revolution. The brand has been at the forefront of Japan’s “premium chocolate” industry. Now, they’ve launched a new series inspired by retro American eaters and many popular Sanrio characters.
The series includes eight different styles of gift boxes, such as the Sanrio Character Convertible Can (2,376 yen), which features Kuromi, My Melody, Pompompurin, Hello Kitty and Cinnamoroll and contains 19 chocolates. Candy varieties include 3D character-shaped chocolates and packaged chocolates. Other chocolate boxes, such as the Kuromi set (486 yen), highlight specific features.

The Goncharoff Sanrio range is available via Beautiful town and Youme Mart in Western Japan, and via Itte Yokado and the York-Red Pill in the eastern and northern regions. The chocolates can also be pre-ordered online and are expected to be shipped around February 1st.

Hokkaido premium chocolate brand Dadaca Cacaocat has teamed up with Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon to launch a range of magical candies and cookies. To celebrate this limited series, Coco the Cat mascot Juuhan has been transformed into Luna. Luna Black Cat appears on two gift jars. The Coco Cat Can (2,980 yen) contains 14 different flavors of chocolate, including hazelnut, pistachio, roasted green tea and raspberry. The Cacaocat mink tin (2,894 yen) comes with a fun variety of cookies and chocolate-covered nuts. Three types of specialty cookies are baked to look like Luna, Artemis and the Cosmic Heart Contract.
Other gift options include Sailor Moon five-piece jars (1,080 yen), each beautifully designed with Sailor Scout artwork. There are 10 character designs to choose from, including inner warrior and outer warrior. For dedicated fans, a full set of 10 character cans (11,664 yen) can also be purchased, which includes an exclusive collaboration mini tote bag.
