If I look a little tired in these photos, it’s because I was late for a fun date the night before… but it’s also because I desperately need a haircut! Went to see Carlin who was great and he helped me straight away.

I was at a party at a bar recently and a Jenna Marbles video was inexplicably projected onto one of the walls, and when my follower asked if the bar could close it, they just changed it to a documentary about GG Allin… which inspired me to dig out this t-shirt with his name on it, along with some Dr. Seuss parody art.

What I wear:
• “Gonna Fuck This Ham” T-shirt – black market a few years ago; I cut off the collar and sleeves in a fit of non-conformist madness
• Jeans – thrifty

In Bluesky, I would describe this outfit as a cross between Courtney Love and Violet Beauregarde – in the sense that it’s the classic Courtney dress + boots combo, but all in Violet’s signature colors! I wore this outfit to a fancy sushi dinner earlier that day after interviewing the delightful Tuck Woodstock for his podcast.

At the end of 2025 I’m back in Toronto for a while and doing musical jams again because life is short so why not. This is what I wear to classes and shows. It was super cold in the theater that night and a cute boy lent me his oversized black hoodie to wear over my jacket for ages, which just improved the look, tbh!

Wearing this dress to see some friends perform a sketch show in the heart of Second City, I immediately took the subway across the city to Danforth Comedy Bar for the party they were hosting that night. I take any opportunity to drink beers with cool and interesting people and laugh for hours!

I almost never wear feminine clothes for improv I am Acting, because it might be unrealistic, but decided to put on a quirky female look for the comedy nerd party. I joked on Bluesky that my improv friends might not recognize me in such a girly outfit, and the funny thing is, one of them actually didn’t recognize me in the dim theater space, mistaking me for a stranger, and she didn’t realize who I was until a few minutes into our conversation. I think it’s hilarious – gender presentation is such a journey, man.

What I wear:

• Little Black Dress – Bought for a Bettie Page Halloween costume a few years ago (one of the only dresses I took with me on this trip to Toronto because, like any little black dress worth its salt, it’s so versatile)

Wearing this dress to visit my friends Dan and Sarah for some Jackbox games, drinks, and gossip was a tradition we did almost every week when we lived with Sarah during the first few years of the pandemic. It’s always nice to reminisce with old friends! I reminded myself of Starina with this look: “One does want a bit of color…”

After producing 3 short blog posts + 1 song video in one day (due to my poor time management), I was ready to relax with my evening plans: attend a screening cruise and some family members. The movie mostly takes place in a queer and eccentric nightclub, so it feels like about Wear lots of leather! Also, by the way, my late uncle Kevin’s legendary rock band Rough Trade was cruise To the soundtrack, it was cathartic to see his artwork in front of a room full of passionate queer people. (He also co-wrote a song love lies bleed! )

Dress to go to an impromptu music show! Wish I could remember what the song in the middle was about; I looked so enthusiastic… but I knew the one on the right was my crush on Santa Claus, so the body language was coquettish! My wife was able to attend the event and captured a series of wonderful cinematic photos of our set. It’s always fun introducing her to my friends.

My outfit for my last improv show of the year! I performed at the show and subsequent jam session, then hung out with friends until the bar closed, then some of us walked back to my parents’ place and talked about life/love/art until 4am. Another shout out to Low Dose Naltrexone (LDN) which is what I use to treat fibromyalgia; I could have no way All of this done the night before LDN!
