But then again, what will happen to them? The past was, after all, a foreign country. Think about it: for a 25-year-old today, 1955 was 45 years before they were born (almost their entire life now!). Forty-five years before I was born, this was still the Flapper era, and the Roaring Twenties hadn’t really acquired the Roaring Mind yet. It’s hard for me to joke about family life in the 1920s now or when I’m 25; that was so far in the past now!
